Bought these tire chains in anticipation of a snow storm to plow with my Cub Cadet XT2 LX46 (20x8 rear tire size). What a huge difference in traction! Worked great on snow and ice. Chains did tend to slip off, so l I added spring chain tensioners and now they stay in place perfectly. Installation was fairly easy. Laid them out flat on the garage floor and rolled the tractor onto the chains. Bring both ends up and then fasten. The fasteners were a bit tricky to do, but not bad once you figure it out.

These Chains are Great I just got a chance to use them on this last snow 6+ inches of wet snow. Before I would only be able to push it just so far and then I would spin out with my Zero Turn Mower about 50 feet or so top's, but now. 200 feet push and never had to stop or spin out. They work Great.

I installed these on my Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro 42 inch. The recommended procedure was to roll the tractor onto a chain, then move it back and forth slightly to let me pull it tight. This didn't work very well. With the second tire, I jacked it up and installed jack stands for safety. Then you can just drape the chain over the tire, draw it gight, and fasten it. The included tighteners were definitely needed to pull the sides tight, and they worked very well.The instructions were spot-on in directing the orientation of the chain on the tire. This is important to keep the chain from digging into the tire, so pay attention to this.I am using the tractor on a hillside next to a lake and the slope is about a 10% grade. It was making the climb before but I feel a lot less worried about losing traction now. I really appreciate the added peace of mind.

I live in the Foothills of Northern California and purchased a riding mower to control weeds on my five acres. The mower could not navigate even the slightest grade on the property without these chains. No size modification was needed to make them fit and now I can drive the mower anywhere except the steepest areas (10% + grades).

These chain fit my Troy Built great. I did some received that were negative but they won’t work if you don’t let all the air out first and then tighten them as much as possible. Then inflate. My mover plows snow amazing well now.

Regular tires slip and slide. With chains - you could climb a tree! Not easy to get tight enough but once on - go!!
