Good quality construction, works great, don't add to much SWR to the antenna and let me use the UHF antenna connector directly instead of using an bulky adapter on my HT transceiver.

It was the way we chose to hook into the coax coming from my outside antenna. It’s just a foot long cable with a couple of connectors and nothing to get too excited about.I’m sure a more techno-savvy HAM would have fabricated their own cable and put on the SMA connector, but if you aren’t really heavily into amateur radio I think it’s cheaper and easier just to buy the stuff already made.

I've been using this for about 4 months now to connect my Yaesu FT60 to a TRAM 1185 Magnet Antenna.It connects easily to the FT-16. I have noticed that with regular movement, the connection tends to loosen. Nothing major and not an issue if you're using it in an application where it won't be moved around a lot.At the other end the PL259 connects firm and tight.The cable itself has a good thickness and feels sturdy.
