I was intrigued when I saw this listed as a grill cleaner that also was under the Scrub Daddy brand. I've had much success with the brand but haven't heard of this previously. We are trying to stay away from metal bristle brushes because of the risk that the debris might stay behind causing a safety and health risk. That's especially important to us because we have a closed double grate grill system which makes it very likely a bristle that falls out would remain to eventually get caught in food.When I took this out of the package the first thing I noticed was how heavy and well made the handle is. It's an extremely durable plastic that is often used to make dog toys out of. The "sponge" part does have metal woven in it similar to the Scrub Daddy Score pads. It also takes up less space than a regular brush which is nice since I have limited space to store grill items under the grill. The pad itself does a good job of really scrapping off a lot of the debris. That's what I've come to expect from the this brand of sponges. One thing of note, it does indicate that the sponge should be applied after being submerged in water. Make sure you aren't using it dry. I'm not sure if that's because of heat or because it will degrade faster. In either case, I don't with to find out. For the price point and safety point I recommend.
