used for a gas furnace in a huge garage. Just want to prevent things from freezing, normal thermostats only go down to 50 degrees. Doing what it's supposed to do so far.

The accuracy of this thermostat is lacking quite a bit. Think it’s off 15° but once I let the heater run for a bit I was able to tell where I like it set. And the mercury thermometer is pretty accurate. Very difficult to turn on from the off position with big fingers but I leave mine on all the time so it doesn’t really bother me too much.

It’s a true piece of you know what, adjustable lever don’t go to 75 let alone go down to 35!!! I threw it away… I live in Minnesota n wanted to keep my garage above Freezing, set it at 35 to keep it from freezing it kept it at about 50 degrees… lol … then put it at 75 n it doesn’t even get to to 70!!! It’s a Joke… Bought a Honeywell one n put it at 35, keeps it at about 36-37 degrees put it at 75 n that’s what it gets to….

Good for the price. The only thing negative is the temperature setting lever. It’s flexible. So you have to go past the temperature you want to set, and then it’ll spring back to your temperature setting. Makes it inaccurate and hard to set precisely. Make it a a steel stamped lever or something. Functions fine. I’ve had it for several years.

I had a thermostat which had a built in circuit board. The Mr. Heater unit wouldn't operate properly with it. The system would continuously cycle the exhaust fan, the system would ignite and then shut off almost immediately. It would then cycle the exhaust fan again. I ordered the Mr. Heater thermostat, which is analogue, and it works like a charm. No more continuously cycling. I wondered whether the circuit board on the thermostat interfered with the circuit board or the electronics built into the Mr. Heater unit. All is good now. And, it is very accurate.
