The FLIR MR40 helps me find leaks and moisture intrusion in motorhomes and RVs that I inspect. It has already helped me save one client a boat-load of money and helped me give others a warm fuzzy feeling about the moisture integrity of their coaches.I Identify suspect areas with a . Then I use a pinless moisture meter, to verify if what I'm seeing is moisture or other just something in the wall/floor that is cooler than the rest of the wall/floor. If I sense moisture with the pinless moisture meter, I use the FLIR MR40 pin-type meter to absolutely verify the quantity of moisture that is present and where it' is centered.Each product has it's purpose and works best, only in combination with the others. By the time I get to the point where I am using this meter, I'm already pretty sure that there is moisture present, where it should not be. This meter just verifies my assumptions and helps me center the source of the moisture incursion.It's a reasonably priced tool, that fits in my pocket and is reasonably accurate. FYI, for what I do, I don't need accuracy to 10 decimal points. But for the price, this meter provides consistent readings that are more than accurate enough to provide my clients with confirmation of the condition of the coach they are about to buy.

This pinned meter is a great tool for my home inspection business. The cap covering the pins is worthless. The flash light isn’t that great either.

This is a highly accurate pin-less moisture meter that links with select FLIR IR cameras, to provide on image moisture, temperature, and humidity readings. The wall cavity probe is used for moisture readings greater than 4†in depth.

Apesar de ser uma case cara, se trata de case original Flir, com acabamento externo emborrachado e interno acolchoado.Para quem tem os medidores de umidade da flir, vale cada centavo. Escolha certeira e ainda feita sob medida para os medidores.Comprarei novamente em caso de nova aquisição de medidor de umidade Flir.Nota: medidor MR277 que é o maior de todos coube perfeitamente na case.

The long pins make it difficult to get a surface read - so you need to penetrate.Got this item on sale - otherwise way too pricey for what it is. Replacement pins are over £40!The hammer version is identical - but instead of a metal cap - has a sliding hammer. Apparently they think that alone is worth over £200.Taking the proverbial with prices. But otherwise a nice addition to my kit.
