The light in our fiber optic Christmas sculpture died this year, and we were going to throw it out, but then I thought to check if the mechanism was broken. I noticed that the filament in the halogen bulb was broken, and looked for replacements. This is an almost perfect replacement. The only difference is that it has a clear plastic cover across the top of the reflector, where the original unit was open (and had two springs that held it into the mechanism). I thought about drilling small holes on either side of the cover, but the bulb fits snugly enough that it should be OK. The light actually seems a bit brighter than before, because the original was likely failing, My wife is very happy that the sculpture is working again, and we've packed the spare bulb with the unit in the box so that we'll be set if the new bulb fails in the future.Very happy with this purchase.Note that the picture of the bulb is the ORIGINAL failed bulb, showing the markings on the side. This bulb is an exact replacement with the correct voltage and wattage (many were 20W, or LED, and I wanted an exact replacement because I didn't want to have to try to replace the transformer with an LED compatible version).

Needed this bulb to make our Christmas village train station come back to life. This was a direct, perfectly fitting replacement. The only difference from the original is the glass over the bulb and I believe that is new safety standards. Works flawlessly and was 1/10th the price of the same set of two at the local retailer.

Needed a replacement MR11 12V 10W bulb for my mini-tree. My local stores did not carry such. And I wasn't about to drive all the way to Home Depot or Lowest miles away. Almost all other brands and sellers on Amazon were selling sets of 5/6 or more. This seller had a 2 pack for a good price, and I got this and had no issues. Packaging almost retail like. Equal to my old dead light from what I could visually see in manufacturing quality. Light seems brighter than the old one that died. Win-Win.

This is listed as clear glass cover with a 36° beam. Out of the box, the two new lights were mismatched - one has the bulb poorly mounted in the reflector, resulting in a harsh white spot of light, the second one was ok.In addition, neither had a clear glass cover as listed in the description.
