The mother of pearl is great and shiny. Clasp is crisp and sturdy. Will stay secure. However the stem from the mother of pearl to the backend clasp is very long. So for smaller cuffs, the cufflinks are too long.

When it is time to dress up formally, this cufflink/stud set is a great choice. I have many choices at home and this set is a good addition to my choices.

I bought these after searching what studs and cufflinks Daniel Craig wore in Skyfall during the Monaco casino scene. since I had a similar blue tuxedo. These looked great and really classed up the outfit. The mother of pearl is a nice, elegant touch to a formal wear compared to the more traditional gloss-black studs usually scene with tuxedos. Plus, they stayed in place through a long night of dancing to a live band. Buy 'em. You'll like 'em. The ladies will like 'em. Which means the ladies will like you.

Sending them back. It look like a cheap pearl which is glued in. Not worth $32.

These are quite acceptable for any formal attire events (black or white tie). I was looking for something fitting for formal Scottish attire that was elegant but more subdued (in my opinion) than a black stud/cufflink set. This Mother of Pearl set does that quite well. And all studs have remained acceptably secured to the shirt (cufflinks, too).

Overall Happy with the quality of product. Felt I was getting a middle of the road with this product, not the 10 dollar cheap links and studs, but not the 100-200 dollar ones. Overall I think this fit that bill, they would be 5 stars if did not come a little smudged. Will attempt to clean and buff, but if not may send back one of the cuff links - pending customer service may switch to a 5. The other links that were not smudged are a 5! Solid product.
