This vest is good for those that work outdoors or for teens who play sports & have to practice during the summer heat (probably wouldn't be able to wear it during games due to uniforms, but practice is fine). To use this, you wet it then place it in the freezer. I place it in there overnight for my husband. The instructions say to place it in the fridge for at least 20 minutes. It lasts much longer in the heat if it's been in the freezer for a few hours. The velcro allows it to fit most adult bodies. My husband is 6'3.5" & 250 lbs. & it fits him ok. I'm 99 lbs. & 5'4" & I have to overlap the front sides to fit me & it's still loose, but that's expected with my frame. It definitely cools you down in the heat! We live in a very hot, humid area, so this is great to cool you down & keep you from having a heat stroke. It's very hot in the shop where my husband works, & this combined with a belt fan really helps him. His coworkers all wanted one of their own. He definitely recommends this for men (or women) who work outside or shops/factories in the heat.

People kept asking why I was wearing kevlar, but the joke was on them since I was keeping cool throughout the 2+ hours of setup for our HOA pool party. I was worried that it might be too cold straight out of the freezer, or that it would be too rigid to be able to slip on, but both concerns were unfounded, as it was very comfortable and was flexible and pliable enough to start wearing immediately after pulling it out!I haven't worn it long enough to fully "run out" of cooling ability, but the two hours I had it on it was consistently cool - it says up to 3 hours, and I expect that to be accurate given the high 90s temps that I wore it in at our last event. Our cleanup committee switches to summer hours (from 10 in the fall and spring to 9 June to September) which hurts attendance due to the earlier start...I'll let some of the hot-natured folks try this out and if they sign off on the effectiveness we can order some more and go back to a later start!

I've been wanting one if these for a while and finally decided to get this. I run hot and get overheated easily so I thought this would come in handy during work during hot days as well as doing yard work. The photo I took of this is of it in my sink. I had to let it soak in the water for about 15-20 minutes then I used a towel to dry off any excess water that was on the outside of it, then put it in my freezer over night. The next day, I decided to try this out while mowing the lawn in 95° weather. Unfortunately, the velcro would not stay latched and got really annoying because it was just flapping around. I like that they add extra velcroed straps if you want to expand the size so it can fit all sizes (although I didn't need to use them). I honestly only noticed a slight difference of the cooling features of this, unfortunately.

I decided to try out this vest for use on the baseball field, as an umpire. In the summer months, working the plate in a baseball game can get really hot with all that gear. I was looking to this vest to provide cooling with low weight. There are a number of positives about this vest. First, you are not filling small pouches with water and then freezing them, and placing them into pockets on the vest. This vest has numerous pouches that absorb water after soaking, and then freeze up when put in the freezer overnight. Obviously this approach prevents issues with water leakage. Provided with the vest are additional straps to allow for bigger people to use this. I am of normal build and it was a good fit as is.In the dry state, this vest weighs about 10 oz. After exposing to water and freezing, the weight comes in at just under 4 pounds, which is not bad. In a baseball game, it kept me cool for 2+ hours, so that is a real plus. However, by the end of the game, I started to feel the weight. If I was using this to keep cool while just walkiing or standing, this would be fine.In summary, this is a good product that performs as advertised. It is a good fit, will not have issues with water leakage and can keep you cool. Depending on how you use it, it could be a real plus. Unfortunately for me, the added weight is more than I would prefer for use in baseball games as a I plate umpire and that is why I rated this four stars.

I got this for my boyfriend because he loves hiking and gardening. I am super impressed!Pros:-The material and vest itself is surprisingly thin.-It doesn't become unbearably heavy when it's on.-The size can be adjusted to fit people who are larger or smaller-It comes with everything you'll need to make it work properly (the vest, the size extenders, the icepacks).-You can use it for different activities: gardening, hiking, sports, vacationing, etc.-It's lightweight and you could take a roadtrip with it.Cons:-You have to plan ahead and put the vest packs in the freezer before your activity, giving it enough time to get cold enough for it to be useful.

I like this vest because it’s so cool and comfortable easy to wear you can adjust the ice packs to different pockets. It’s great for hot days and lasts upwards to 6hrs comfortably

I was expecting something much heavier, so I was very pleased when I opened this and discovered how light it is. I am now very excited about wearing this while doing yardwork or while hiking.It doesn’t fold up super small, but that’s not as much of an issue since it’s so light and thin.Once I give it a go outside I’ll update my review, but the instructions seem pretty straight forward… so I imagine I’ll be pleased.

We live in southern Georgia and we like working in our garden. This cooling vest really helps, not to heavy, fits well good quality materials with an easy to use zipper. Excellent design product.
