This hand-held rectangle punch was perfect for my needs. All the lanyards I use for my non-profit have either round clips or those plastic snap retractable things, so that you need to have this tab/slot punch to fit our key card holders. Plus the name badge holders have two round holes with a tab cutout in the middle, so if you want them to sit straight you must either use two clips (one on each side hole) or a snap tab clip that goes thru the center rectangular hole. When I do an event, I want the badges to fit well and lie straight, because it adds to the professionalism. This punch works well and is just hefty enough that I think it will last quite a while. Side note: this works well when cruising, too. Take it with you and then use it on the side of your room key (careful to avoid the magnetic strip), and you can put your key card directly on your lanyard with a retractable holder.

I used this hole puncher to punch slots in two inch wide blinds I bought at Home Depot. The blinds at Home Depot are long enough to use on a slider doorway. When using these blinds on a window it left a lot of additional length when I needed replacement blinds on a shorter basement window. After cutting the excess, I had enough length to make an additional blind if I could cut a slot in the scrap. This cutter mad the rounded rectangular hole I needed. It went through the bottom of plastic blind with no problem and created a a clean rounded hole I needed for the window. By doing this I was able to double the number of blinds I boughtThe replacement blinds I bought. The slot was a little longer than I needed but they worked fine. Well worth buying this punch.
