This Microcosm staple remover has made my life so much easier. As an acrylic artist, If you stretch your own canvas on to stretch bars or have to remove existing staples, one flick with this tool and they are out with ease. No pulling or having to use pliers. The curvature of the design is brilliant, and gives the user results with no resistance.

I'm refurbing an old home that previous owner installed carpet over hardwood floors. I pulled up the carpet and the padding was stapled all over the floor in every room. All those staples have to come out before I can re-do the floors. I did a little research and this tool was recommended by someone on Youtube so I gave it a shot. Holy crap it worked as suggested.Pros:* Sturdy* Gets under crushed staples* clamps staple before pulling it out (this means it pulls BOTH spikes out). Other methods just gets under staple, but don't clamp it, so they only pull one spike out so you end up having to finish the pull with pliers.* Fast - Not going to kid you, this still involves being on your hands and knees, but, it makes pretty fast work of it compared to pliers or screwdrivers.Cons* there is a short learning curve to optimize the method. You have to get under, press back to lock clamp. But in some cases, staples pull out unevenly because they were crushed. I found that rotating the tool, rather than tilting it back, worked great in those cases. So just be willing to tweak your method.

Worked well to lift out most staples. Not as easy to insert the tang underneath staples that were deep. Needed a sharp tool for the deep staples.

We renovated our kitchen laminate floor this summer and I wanted to help my husband with the project. After using a flat head screw driver and plier to remove like 20 staples on the floor; I quit. (LOL) I knew there must be a tool out there that can make this job easier. Looked for it on Amazon and found this staple remover. It came quickly and I was able to remove the staples with ease. The ergonomic of the tool was great for my hand. It didn't hurt and made the process so much faster. Very sturdy and good quality. It is so worth it! It's the best tool for the renovation project. I just wish that the width of the blade was a little bit smaller so it would go easily in the staples. Highly recommend you have this for any project that requires removing staples.

My contractor pulled up some old carpeting and discovered hardwood floors in pretty good shape. There were a tremendous amount of staples left from the foam , and he was trying to find a good way to remove them with minimal damage to the floorI came across a video on YouTube which was a product review for this tool , and it was highly recommended. I ordered two with overnight delivery, the staple remover works efficiently and quietly and sure beats straining with pliers or a pry-bar and hammer. So yes, it is ergonomically correct and saves a lot of stress on whoever uses it and the floor surface.I had ordered two just in case the tool wasn't sturdy, because it had a lot of staples to do , but was happily surprised that the tool held up well and sustained no damage from heavy use.I would recommend it even if you have just a small area to do , I had 5 rooms where someone had gone into stapling overdrive , and the tool made the job much , much easier. Happy contractor and happy home owner.

We recently bought a house and pulled up over 2000 ft.² of nasty old carpet. If you’ve ever pulled up carpet, you know that you then have hundreds and hundreds of staples to pull out of the wood floors, one at a time. This was the best tool that I found for pulling the staples out of wood. The way the staple puller works, it has a little lever that latches onto the staple and holds onto it to pull it out of the floor. I still had some staples break, but not nearly as many as with other staple pullers and prying tools I tried.

Not a bad staple remover, but for it to work properly, it needs a thinner tip for effective staple removal. I had to reduce its thickness to make it work more efficiently. The main drawback is that after removing a few dozen staples, the axis holding the structure started to come loose, making the tool almost unusable. Therefore, this tool requires immediate modification and, in the future, either repair or replacement.

I used this staple remover on hardwood floors after pulling up carpeting. So worth the money!! Easy to use, worked very well with a very short learning curve, and was so much faster than before using this tool. You still must be careful not to further gouge the floor, however, this tool is so much easier to use/control than a screwdriver or plyers. I was able to remove all but a few staples without the staples breaking. I can see where it might not work on stapled cloth as well, although I haven’t had the opportunity to try it. Highly recommend.
