I bought a used non-working Arion Stereo Analog Delay pedal on Ebay for almost nothing.The seller said it would just make a buzzing noise. I knew from experience that those pedals had a reverse polarity input and would just make a buzzing noise if the polarity of the power cable was wrong. This converter cable did the trick.

Don't know who decided this, but many musical accessories and most Guitar effects devices usually require power supplies with connectors where the pin in the center of the connector has negative voltage. This is opposite to standard DC power supplies which deliver positive voltage to the pin. Get it wrong and the device may get cooked. I use these polarity reversing cables so I can use rechargeable battery packs to power pedals and other effects. I put bright colored tape on them as a warning. I forgot the reverser was still in line when recharging one of the battery packs and literally smoked it.

Works fine. Light wire if you are trying to handle higher current. On the short side of you need extra allowance for routing cables.

I purchased these because I got a couple 9-volt battery connector/adapters from eBay to use with some guitar pedals, and when they arrived, I realized the polarity was the reverse of what the pedals required. Instead of going through the hassle of returning them, I found these polarity reversers. They did the job, so now they're permanently connected to the 9-volt battery connector/adapters!The quality's pretty decent, so imagine as long as I don't abuse them, I think they'll last for a while.

It can be hard to find a quality center-negative polarity AC adapter. But you can easily find quality center-positive adapters from Honor, APD, and others. Don't buy those cheap "for __" negative adapters from China. To make a quality negative adapters, start with a good positive adapter, and add this polarity converter. Done! This adapter uses 2.1 tip, so pay attentionto your tip size. So far, this adapter has worked great, I've bought several.
