MSD is known for making excellent products. This item is no exception! After decades of use, the OE factory connector on the GM HEI Ignition cap can fail/break. This MSD connector will restore functionality and reliability in these applications.

I expected a better product from a company like MSD. I was replacing the connectors to my distributor with this product. The female spade connectors would not snap into the plastic part of the connector. I found that the female spades had 2 extra tabs that should have been cut off in production but were not. After cutting off the tabs the connectors assembled like they are supposed to and work good. I expected better quality control, the female spades are un-usable as they arrived.

When I received this kit it looked promising, I needed to replace the missing BAT + connector at my HEI distributor and these looked like the best option. I removed the cheesy 1/4" spade terminal (blue) from the wire and attached one of these terminals and everything was looking up. I didn't get to worried about the flags of brass still attached to the terminal, I just cut them off, no biggie. The problem that I am having is that the terminal will not stay locked up inside the connector! This basically makes it useless! I have tried bending the locking tab on the terminal out as far as I can and it will simply just pull back out with minimal force. Now I am going to have to figure out a way of keeping the terminal inside the connector, not good...

The pins don’t fit in the provided connector unless you modify the pin by trimming off the top corners. Other than that frustration it works.
