Installs as an exact replacement from original. Was disappointed to see a foreign Ignition module that failed after a year and about 5k miles. Delco Module fits in with a wiring terminal change. The distributor itself though is good quality.

Replaced an OEM distributor with this unit after my existing one began to fail internally. This was in a 350 TBI Pickup. Installed along with new plugs and custom wires. Be sure to consult a Service Manual or take extensive notes of the spark plug wiring, the cap on this distributor does not indicate #1, and this type of distributor is difficult to locate information online about, as many people install traditional HEI units. Works great with my TBI Electronic Ignition, pairs with the MSD coil for a powerhouse upgrade.

This thing has really woke up my truck. I was changing out ignition modules every couple months with the junk i got from our local parts store. This distributor has the timing locked on and the truck runs great. even picked up an extra 3 mpg.

Good quality distributor, however, if the module fails, you're pretty much scr#wd. MSD uses a GM replacement module, but instead of having the module connected with a plug, the idiots soldered the 2 wires from the pickup coil! The module failed on me and I ended up cutting the 2 wires and soldering a couple of plugin connectors. Now I can buy a replacement module from anywhere, if needed. Just out of principle, I returned the distributor for a replacement from Amazon at no charge to me. Amazon is great and easy to work with. I just wish MSD put a bit more thought into their products.

the modulator went bad it less then 100 miles and they MSD didn't back it
