I've been using Mutec trumpet mouthpieces for awhile now because of the reasonable price and quality. While plastic mouthpieces are recommended for winter use due to the fact they don't get icy cold like the metal ones do in cold weather, I like mine for year round. For one, the clear mouthpiece lets me see if any dirt or gunk is forming in it. (I clean and sterilize mine every time I use it, so that has never happened!) Should I accidently drop, misplace, or break one, they're inexpensive enough that I can just toss it in my recycle bin and order a new one. The sound you get using Mutec is amazing and while I'm not a pro trumpeter by any means, I just don't see the sense in spending $100 or more on a mouthpiece. These come clearly marked with what they are, (7C, 5C, etc) in easy to read print. I highly recommend these for young beginning trumpeters for the reasons I've already mentioned- high quality, inexpensive, and easily replaced...not to mention a good way to experiment in finding the right mouthpiece for you.

I am a volunteer for the organization Bugles Across America, which supplies volunteers to sound the call Taps for the funerals of U.S. Military Veterans. After receiving this mouthpiece order, I played a very cold funeral at graveside in December! It was a wonderful change; I no longer had to somehow keep my mouthpiece warm until it was time to play. I just raised my trumpet to my lips and played (of course, keeping face muscles warm is another matter!). The mouthpiece felt comfortable and warm to my lips. It sounded pretty good, too, such a deal!

I purchased this for my husband and he is so happy with it! He says because it is plastic, it isn’t cold and it’s easy to use when he doesn’t have time to warm up.He also mentioned that it seems to help him to hit higher notes. I think that’s because it’s more comfortable to his lips.

La boquilla se siente bien al contacto con los labios tiene un sonido sorprendente pese a ser plástica y te produce menos cansancio yo empecé a estudiar la trompeta con 12 años después rompà todo contacto con la música hasta ahora a los 70 que compré una mini trompeta poquet y estoy volviendo a reanudar mis estudios, veo que con esta me fatigo menos O sea como que me da más resistencia y llego con más facilidad a los agudos que con la otra boquilla 7c que vino con el instrumento , la la compré por curiosidad por el efecto de que era plástica transparente pero a mi entender me resultó una buena compra

I bought this in hopes of my lips not freezing off in the stands. And to my surprise... its AWESOME!I didn't need to worry about the cold metal touching my lipsI personally don't think I lost and sound quality... but please don't use this in a concert setting lolSadly I lost mines or else I would love to show you guys!That is a con because its plastic it kinda slips out without you knowingand also the center of gravity COMPLEATLY CHANGES!But other than that... this is a great buy for any kid who is in marching band!really recomend!

This product broke in half while trying to remove it after using it the first time. It was very disappointing as it didn't hurt my mouth while playing with braces on.

My daughter just got her braces and we immediately found a hard way that it greatly affects her playing a trumpet. She cried how painful it is, and started talking about not doing it anymore. I googled what to do, and found some info that a plastic mouthpiece can help. This one is the cheapest I could find on Amazon, I've got it with next-day shipping, and wow - daughter can play her trumpet again!!! She says that it is actually easier to use than the metal one. Even if it breaks one day I will just get a new one. Awesome product!

I like the mouthpiece, it is very light and being plastic it is not cold when first using it like the metal ones. Seems to work as well as a metal one.

I’ve been playing trumpet for years and have spent ££££ on mouthpieces. I got this plastic 3c as I was playing a few outdoor gigs and the weather forecast was saying it was going to be freezing. I thought a plastic mouthpiece might be a bit kinder on the lips in the cold. I have to say I was impressed. It’s comfy and projects well and I can slot in the notes easily. The tone isn’t as rich as a metal mp and peddle notes won’t sound but its very playable and great for the cold.

I got this for $8.49 as an 'add-on' item, with free shipping. For that price it was worth the risk. I have no complaints. Works well, will be great if I want to play outdoors this winter for xmas tree lighting ceremony in freezing Montreal.
