Fit: Perfect for 2013 Escape.Install: Very easy. Less than 60 minutes.Quality: Very thick but light. It is a lot better than a factory.Oil change: Don't have to remove the whole cover panel since there are 2 small windows for it.

It fits well and is sufficiently heavy duty.. 4mm or about 3/16" thick. The one caveat to the fit is that the 2 clip nuts supplied for the wheel well attach point were too wide to fit because of a stiffening rib molded into the wheel well plastic it attaches to. You will need two 1/4"x1" bolts with a self locking nut or, go get a clip nut at your hardware store that will fit into the area. The clip nut I had on hand was not self-locking so I used some locktite. If it comes out, I will remove the clip nut and use a nyloc nut. The rest of the attach points use the plastic inserts that are already on the vehicle. I would suggest ordering new ones and replacing them while you're under there.

Thick heavy plastic splash for 2013 Ford Escape. This is the last splash shield you will ever have to install on a Ford Escape. It has these really awesome door covers to give you access to oil drain plug and oil filter. Easy installation.

The engine guard that comes fitted to the Ford Escape from the factory is abysmal. Its like its made from cloth/wool and easy to tear and break. Happened to mine. OK we got 4 years out of it, but still, we were driving on pretty good roads all that time. This replacement is excellent. And I could easily fit it myself. Took me about 25 minutes end to end (including jacking my car). For one part of the fitting a reused the Ford part because the same OEM material Ford Uses on the wheel arch was a bit iffy and it just worked better to use the ford screw and bolt there. Its not a problem and because the under guard is solid, its actually made the wheel arch fitting a lot better. The car has been service with and oil change and the shop that did it admired the fact they could just get on with the job using the hatches built in.I recommend this to anyone. Seriously if you can use a socket set and a screwdriver, and have axle stands and jacks, you can do this yourself.

I brought this product to my oil change service at the ford service center and watched as the mechanic installed with ease. The mechanic also commented that it was a much better material and quality than the original piece used from ford. The guard piece also has easy access to the engine oil filter compartment. A value for money!

Upon unpacking, I realized the splash shield exceeded the quality of the Ford OEM part. Extremely thick plastic that will provide longevity, 3 removable access plates for access to oil filter and oil drain plug. Includes mounting screws and definitely a quality appearance. This will definitely solved the issue of the poor quality of the Ford splash shield, this is what I believe will be the 3rd and final replacement in just 6 years. Let me also add, this cost only a 3rd of the price. The Ford dealer staff was quite impressed with this splash shield. They also had the thought that this would probably last.

This is by far the best under engine splash shield that I have seen. I bought this 2014 Escape used, and it was missing the splash shield. This was an easy direct replacement. My only complaint at all was that the 2 U-nuts that are included in the kit are slightly wider than the slot in the plastic trim piece that they are supposed to slide onto. So, they took a little massaging to get them to stay in place. Otherwise, this kit is absolutely perfect and well built.
