This scale, such as it is, simply doesn't work as one would expect. I am not using it to weigh a hanging carcass, but to just to weigh stuff, with changing loads. The digital numbers go up, as the weight increases, but after about 40 lbs., it re-sets to zero, then continues (from zero). Also, it only stays on for a short amount of time, like 30 seconds, if you turn it back on (with a load) it comes back on at zero, and goes from there. Poor design. Go with an analog scale, over this dopey digital thing.

Product came in new in factory packaging, but one of the batteries had corrosion on it. I cleaned the corrosion off the battery and contact, and it is working. I hope it doesn't bit me in the butt.

The scaled works great and at a good price. I just wish we had been able to use it more this year.

I'll be weighing large fish with it so I'll have to keep it from getting too salty, but it looks like it will beat the competing scales easily.

Not sure how accurate this scale is. Got some funky numbers that didn't make sense. I'll try to calibrate it against a few known weights and I'll update my review if it changes.
