Kettle works great! I purchased this about four months ago and wanted to wait to review it to make sure it was working as described. I use this daily for my tea. Water quickly comes to a boil and has an automatic shut off once it dies. Sits perfectly on my countertop and looks good. I like the blue light when it’s on. I was concerned because some people have complained about the push button top. But I find if you touch the top and pull your finger back as you’re touching it. It opens every time. It seems to stick when you just push straight down. Has not given me any problems at all. Very happy with my purchase.

Reviewing: Mueller Ultra Kettle: Model No. M99S 1500W Electric Kettle with SpeedBoil Tech, 1.8 Liter Cordless with LED Light, Borosilicate Glass, Auto Shut-Off and Boil-Dry Protection:You can purchase this kettle with confidence. I had the same model until very recently, and it worked reliably for nearly 8 years. It was still boiling water perfectly when I decided to replace it, but the pop-up part of the lid was sticking occasionally and no longer opening and closing as well as it used to. We use a kettle at least 8 times per day (multi-person household, drinking a lot of coffee and tea), and if a kettle can last us for 8 years and still be working, then it’s a good kettle. Here I am, having just purchased the same kettle as before, so (not surprisingly), I’m happy with the new kettle too. Too many kettles have a small capacity. This one boils a good quantity of water, which means that if I’m cooking pasta, I can boil the water in the kettle first, then add it to the pan of pasta, without having to boil the kettle twice. It will also boil enough water for 4 large mugs of coffee. All electric kettles in the USA take a while to boil, but this is as quick as any I’ve tried. The blue color is cheerful and bright on cold winter mornings, and the big advantage of a kettle like this is that it has an auto-shut-off. You can fill the kettle with water, flick the switch, walk away and do other things… then when the water’s boiled, the kettle will “ping†to let you know, and it will shut itself off. You never need to worry that the water will boil over, or melt a pan, or flood your kitchen, or anything like that.I’m an English person, so I know about kettles. For anyone not familiar with electric kettles, this doesn’t go on your stove. There’s a base that plugs into a wall (and has a nice, long cord), then the kettle sits on top of the base while it heats the water. It can safely be left on the base all the time, because unless you’ve flipped the switch to turn it on, the water won’t be heating.Caution: People have asked me if a kettle like this can be used to cook pasta in, or heat soup. The answer is no. It’s just for water. This is a good, reliable kettle, and it's excellent value for the price. You'll love it.

I really like this cordless electric kettle, and I use it multiple times a day, every day to boil water for French press coffee, tea, ramen, rice, or any other reason I need hot water quickly. It has a high capacity, boils super fast, the handle stays cool, and the spout pours cleanly. The glass makes it easy to see the water level, and it looks nice sitting on the counter. Overall it's just a good design. I had this same model previously for about 3 years before it stopped working, and bought it a second time because, for as heavily as I use it, I was satisfied with that longevity for the relatively inexpensive price. The second one only lasted about 8 months before it stopped working, which was disappointing, since this is a great kettle and otherwise very durable. In both cases, something seems to have failed in the on/off switch on the handle. Here's why I felt compelled to write this review long after I bought this kettle: yes, the switch failed after only 8 months, but this has a 1 year warranty, so I contacted the manufacturer, Mueller, and they replied within hours. Then within 24 hours they shipped me a replacement kettle. I am seriously impressed with the responsiveness and customer service, and totally delighted that I can continue to use this kettle, because I'd be hard pressed to find another one that measures up.

Lasted about 4 years before the plastic lid completely detached from the joint where it screws in place. A few months before this, the electrical conduit in the base stopped engaging automatically and now will only activate or turn on when you rotate it back and forth around the plate and finally hit it just so.I see that the new screen at the pour spout is removable, which I think is an improvement, as the version I have is difficult to clean and tore.Otherwise, love that it turns off automatically and lights blue to indicate it is on and heats well. If you have hard water, make sure that you clean it frequently, as the mineral deposits build up quickly and are challenging to remove once solidified in place.

It looks good, works good so far. It boils the water much more vigorously than the kettle I had before. I got 213degrees F. I was a little surprised at the before use prep. Instructing to wash and then boil 5-6 full pots of water and dumping each before use. Seemed a little excessive. I wonder why that precaution.

We bought one years ago and it’s still going strong, even with heavy use — and it still looks new! So we just bought a second one, now we have one on each floor. They’re so quick and easy to use and it takes up very little space … plus the blue light, while it’s in-use, looks SO COOL! Quality, reliability, boils quickly, looks cool … great value, great product.

It is a decent tea kettle for the price. It boils water as needed, which is all I was looking for. Only issue I had is plastic pieces coming off the bottom of the kettle. Functionality is not affected

This seems a good kettle apart from the lid release, which is a bit hit and miss.

It’s a good looking product and boils water which is what you want. I chose it to replace a previous glass kettle as that one broke when the glass spout clipped the edge of a cupboard- this one has a plastic spout and so is less likely to break. However one small design flaw, the button to release the lid which you need to fill it with water, requires you to press down on the lid therefor preventing it from opening. You therefore need to develop a little technique of pressing and hooking your fingernail back to make it lift. It seems an obvious design flaw! It will probably become second nature, butMildly irritating at first.

Broke my last glass kettle whilst cleaning it heavy handedly so saw this kettle with huge amount of great reviews so got it. Delivered quickly and well packaged. Rinsed it out and made a quick cup of tea, wow the cuppa was roasting hot and stayed hot in the cup for a good 10mins and more. Kettle is very quiet whilst boiling and quick to boil. This is miles better than my last glass kettle and far far better than that one cup brevel i have where it doesn't do a full mug of tea, the water is never roasting and the tea is cold after a few minutes. Glad i got this kettle as i drink a few cups a day. Cheers.

Innially pleased with the kettle. Quick to boil, efficient and looks good.6 months in.... Occasional leakage, lid release doesn't work and now fails to boil. Just switches itself off.Won't be buying another!
