The Murray Sporting Goods Baseball Protective L-Screen is durable and a perfect purchase to keep coaches and players safe while throwing batting practice. Our baseball pitching screens are shaped like an “L” to allow the pitchers to throw the ball on the short side (3.5 ft tall) while the taller side (7 ft tall) helps protect the pitcher while standing behind the net.
The ultimate safety feature on our baseball L-Screens is the 45-degree hip protector which uses a metal pole to connect the short side to the tall side. This protects pitchers and coaches from being hit by a line drive on their follow through. The 90-ply net is durable enough to absorb hard hit balls and safely guard the players and coaches that stand behind it during batting sessions.
Wheels are included to help with transportation to and from practice, moving it in and out of batting cages or moving it around the field during batting/pitching practice. The wheels were designed to be small for the bottom bar to stay as close to the ground as possible to not allow a ground ball to get underneath the bottom bar. The assembly for this L-Screen is an easy, one-person job. The metal poles simply snap together to assemble the frame. Then once the frame has been assembled, slide the durable net over top and you are ready to throw your next BP session.

45-Degree Angle Hip Protector Bar
Unlike most L-Screens that have 90-degree angle, we have designed our baseball L-Screen to include a 45-degree hip protector bar. This is an added safety feature for when batters hit a ball back up the middle, the coach or pitcher has an added layer of protection. On the follow through, they are easily able to position themselves behind the net without leaving their hip exposed.
Baseball Sack
Included with the purchase of our L-Screen is a baseball ball sack. Easily grab a ball from the pouch and toss batting practice without having to bend over and grab from the bucket on the ground. Use the bucket to fetch the balls, empty them into the sack and continue pitching your next batting practice session.
Durable Metal Finish with Thick 90-Ply Double Net
Our L-Screen's metal poles have a premium powder coat finish to give it that rugged, durable feel. The 90-ply net is a thicker net than most, made to absorb hard hit line drives that are coming back up the middle during batting practice. The thickness should also withstand the elements of weather and sunlight during the peak summer season.

This was pretty easy to put together and use. The wheels help. It lasted one summer/fall outdoors and is spending the winter in a shed. So far so good.

Maybe the easiest thing I've put together. One-half page of pictures and it's the only thing that you need. Normally I struggle with picture directions, but we put this together in about 7 minutes.The first thing my son noticed was how tall it was. At 6'5" I normally have to duck after throwing a pitch, but not with this screen.Once we got it together it was easy to move around and get in position with the wheels on one end.Took several line drives off the screen today and seems to be very sturdy.The ball bag has a drawstring that can be detached to put away when you are done.Would recommend it for any backyard batting cage.

This L-screen broke after less than 1 week of use. The bars are not very sturdy and after only a few hits the bar that helps form the "L" broke. This was also only used with 12u and under players, so it wasn't hit very hard. Terrible frame.

I recently built a batting cage in the backyard for my son. The L screen works nicely, has plenty of room for a pitching machine and to stand behind. My son has sent a few line drives at me, the net worked fine. Easy to put together too. Easy to move.

This thing saves my life every time we hit. Solid enough to stop the hardest line drives. Light weight and easy to move about the cage.

The netting is very strong and large gauge. No baseball is going to penetrate this net. I bought a different one for $150 and I am returning it as the netting is of poor quality and dangerous to use. Also, the steel thickness here is much better. Nice product.

Very light weight and durable metal. Easy to put together and of very good quality. I would definitely recommend this product to others and will buy again when we add a 2nd batting cage.
