Amazing product, refreshed my dogs pads remarkably within a few applications. Has No detectable odor which to me is critical, absorbs efficiently and quickly, doesn’t leave a trace on the floors, and my dog tolerates the application very well.

My 8 year old doodle has been struggling with sore paws due to all of the walking that we do with her. I thought I was being careful not taking her out when the pavement was too hot, but apparently not. To soothe & heal her paws, I have been using Musher's Secret every day on her paws when we go out for a walk & also on her paws at night. My additional twist is that I put baby socks on her feet to help those little pads "marinate" & heal. When walking outside, I wrap electrical tape (bc it stays up the best) around each sock & below her dew claws. Works great! She is SO happy & waits patiently for the time it takes me to do this added task.I like the Mushers Secret because the scent is fine (unlike some other brands), it doesn't stain & it seems to give her the healing protection she needs. This is all good- but in the little 2 oz. jar, this product is expensive- especially for how often I am using it! So, I was VERY HAPPY to find this 16 oz. jar of Mushers Secret which came out to be reasonably priced per ounce.

I don't know how this stuff works so well but it does! I got it because my yard gets muddy just before, during and after winter.. My dog, a white golden retriever, loves to run. When he's out in the yard for more than a minute, he gets trashed with mud, and his paws get caked with it. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I used this mushers secret. His paws were clean after running around in the yard. Yeah he got messy, but his paws which are usually the dirtiest part of him were clean! Unreal! When there's snow on the ground, nothing sticks to his paws, nothing, not even a little! It took a little while for him to get used to me putting this on his paws, but now he just waits til I'm done rubbing it into his paws. You need to get it inbetween the toes and cover his whole paw, topside too. You won't believe how good this stuff works. And it's all natural and doesn't stain.. How can you beat that?! Won't hurt him if he tries to lick it off either.. This stuff is a must have if your dog paws get trashed in the yard. It's worth every penny.. Yes, highly recommended! You can probably find a hundred other uses for it too. I put a little on my snow shovel to keep snow from sticking to it.. A little goes a long way!

Mushers Secret is phenomenal!!!! I live in AZ. This last week it reached 116.and bounced around from 110 up and down. I have two Boston Terriers and a pool. There is Kool decking on part of the pool but then from that is stamped concrete. The Kool decking is cool for bare feet but the stamped concrete is hotter than the temperatures.it blisters their paws. I was putting baby socks to 1 year on their feet then wrapping vet wrap around the cuffs front and back. But that is a pain to put socks on 8 paws everyday. I heard of Mushers Secret and read the label and I was sold! It is made to protect sledge dogs from frozen ice on their paws. But it Al's keeps dogs paws protected from hot asphalt.well my back yard doesn't have asphalt but cement gets hot too. It even says it is for horses hooves also. So this jar is 1 lb but I am going to purchase another jar for my horse as he needs this on his feet as well. His hooves dry out and crack so this product will solve that problem. Getting back to my dogs.....their paws are so soft now and my hands feel softer too since I rub it into their paws. They like the foot massages too. I swear by this product.So yesterday I oldest Boston had to see her vet to see why her neck was so sensitive. And yelped everytime I touched her. But while the vet tech was asking questions and taking her temp. I told her I had bought Mushers Secret for Veeza (14) and Cash's (12)paws. She said, "oh my gosh, I love Mushers Secret! I have used it on my old 16 year old do." So we talked about how great it is.

Great product, works as supposed to. I recommend getting a box of nitrile gloves it's a messy job.

After a week of using this I noticed a remarkable improvement on my dog's dry, cracked paws. She also seemed to be less bothered by the snow and immense amounts of salt on the sidewalks in our apartment complex. Putting it on her is an ordeal, though. I use a rubber glove to apply it a bit more easily - that way more of it gets onto her than onto me. She hates having her paws touched, especially her front ones, so even though we're giving her lots of treats it's a pain. But none of this is the products fault. The issue with the product, and the one reason I didn't give it five stars, is that the smell is incredibly strong. It's kind of floral and citrusy. I don't mind it, but my dog definitely does. When we're done she rolls around on my bed, rubbing her face on the blankets. Which is kind of irritating. I don't know if the smell is so strong because of important ingredients, or if they thought it was a nice perfume, but it's a real drawback when you're applying it to animals who have sensitive noses. Still, it does do the trick, especially if you can't get your dog to wear boots but live in an area where some sort of paw protection is needed.

I'm a dog groomer of 8 years and have been using this product for probably at least a decade and it's the best for soothing and healing dry paw pads, noses and elbow areas, etcetera. It was originally created to condition the feet of Alaskan sledding dogs by creating a barrier between the skin and the ice. What's also great about this product is it takes very little to work; just scoop out a small amount with your finger and apply in a gentle circular motion to your pet. It won't hurt them if they try to lick it off. Used every day or a few times a week, you'll see a big difference pretty fast. Also great to apply on the paw pads on hot days for protection from hot concrete and asphalt!

I bought this product because I have slippery wooden floors and an old dog who struggles to get a grip on it. I read a claim online that this product would help. It didn't make an ounce of difference. If anything it made the situation worse.

I don’t write many reviews but I really like this product. My little guy won’t wear boots and when he walks on the sidewalk the salt and the ice have been bothering his feet. Lots of times I would wind up carrying him home. I ordered mushers secret thinking that I might help a little but I am amazed at how well it works. I rub a little on each paw pad and Simon has been walking on snow and ice as if it’s not even there. He hasn’t picked up his paws once and we usually walk for about an hour every day after work. He doesn’t mind me putting it on his feet and he doesn’t even try to lick it off. I have also noticed that his paw pads are getting much softer and not cracked at all. I haven’t tried mushers secret in the summer yet but if it works as well I will use it all year round. Thank you for making such a good product!

Ich nutze diese Creme für die Pfoten von meinen Fellnasen in jedem Jahreszeit, im Winter beim Frost und Schnee regelmäßig, sonst nach Bedarf. Ich bin mit der Wirkung, der Pflege und den Eigenschaften sehr zufrieden und nutze nichts anderes und kann die Creme vom ganzen Herzen empfehlen.

It was recommended to me and now My turn to recommend it. In this part of the world, dog’s paws (and particularly those rescued from the wild) cannot escape the burn and damage in their paws. But it feels so much better after the treatment. I like to apply it From time to time On the evening before sleep and to cover with socks in the morning. It does wonders and they never try to escape when they understand it is “foot care“ time.

Great product. Before my dog just could not walk on salty streets in the winter. Right now we are still avoiding those but he actually can go for a few minutes without crying or being too uncomfortable. Boots never worked for us ( give him blisters) so this thing is a game changer
