The recipient did request it but it seems as though it will work well to hang onto the pacifier and clip to the clothing, stroller, etc. I also unwrapped it and used it on her wrapped gift as a decoration because it coordinated with the paper I used.

Supper cute and made of good quality materials, but honestly so overpriced for what you're getting. It's also pretty short in length and a little stiff. Good for really little babies or photos!
