The material is very thick and the design is so fun! Easy to clean if needed but it seems very durable and resistant to water.

so the material is different than I expected but now I understand why it's sand-proof. It's kind of like polyester and smooth. It's not a blanket but it will be easier to keep clean on a picnic. We are going to use it camping
