Purchased this as an upgrade from the standard chrome string guide on my jazz bass. Fits just like the big name brands. I highly recommend this if you need a replacement or an upgrade.

It’s very lightweight and the metal is soft and flimsy. No chance this is real steel. I could see it bending and wearing down as soon as I tried to put strings on, and the provided screw did not fit my Ibanez blazer P bass. The pale “gold†finish is not nearly as dark gold as better quality hardware (I have gold Gotoh tuners on this bass). I replaced this with an Allparts gold string retainer which is strong, fit perfectly, and looks great.
