I use these side markers when I use abalone fret dots. They are really tiny so they can be kind of a pain to handle without dropping them. They look nice when installed and polished up.

I replaced tiny plain white side markers with these, about 2x's bigger. Still tiny and a little hard to work with. I used a pair of soldering tweezers to help with install. Glad I had them. If they were just a little bit longer they'd go in easier maybe. I like them once they're in. Lol

Shiny, round, and pearly. Flat on the top and bottom. They are exactly what I was hoping for, and the holes made by my 2mm drill were the perfect size for these things to fill. Like magic. Only they are dots, so I guess it's not really magic at all. But they were inexpensive, they arrived quickly, and they worked perfectly!

These are absolute garbage. Out of a 20 pack there was one that was 1/2 way decent looking. They are multi-layers of shell poorly glued together. The break and crumble if you look at them funny. I bought these in a pinch because I needed some quick. Lesson learned.
