Title says it all. Even with 5†wrap the break angle at the nut was too little. Added this between the a and e tuners with one of its slots inline with the a string path.

This string tree provides much better nut/bridge contact for my bass strings (homemade bass).It may need a little graphite lubricant to make tuning more consistent

Fast delivery. Excellent packaging! Unfortunately, the size of the string guide channels is too narrow for the bass strings to slide smoothly through. Warning!!!! The supplied screws are too long (and wider than Fender), and would protrude through the back of the headstock if use is attempted! The product is not what one would expect for a Fender type bass string tree replacement.

Screws are too long for the thickness of a P Bass headstock. Don’t find out the hard way like I did. I drilled a pilot hole so the screw wouldn’t break, but when I screwed it in fully, which is needed to hold it secure to the headstock, the tip of the screw poked through the other side of the headstock. I bought these to fix up a bass to sell. Now I will surely have to lower my sell amount for the damage to the headstock.

Was sent 2 guitar strap holders and not the bass string retainer trees. Will update review when the replacements arrive.
