I used these tracks to mount led lights under the frame of my camper. These things are straight and well made. The clear cover snapped in nicely too.

I purchased this to use as housing for a strip light to use to light piano music. To cut to the length I wanted, I inserted the clear cover and taped around the whole assembly with painter's tape where I wanted to cut it. I used a hacksaw with a metal cutting blade to make the cut. It was not very difficult to cut and both the aluminum channel and the plastic cover cut reasonably cleanly. I did have some trouble putting the plastic cover in - I had tried to slide it in from the end, but there is too much resistance - it snaps in from the front fairly easily.

5/5 stars as this can be modified to mount beautifully with ease, however read on if looking to mount with the included clips. The good: Sturdy rail channel, the black frosted plastic lens/face looks marvellous in front of LED strips, End caps fit well, and to the eye it's very pleasing once assembled. No really, this looks beautiful! I may be buying more! The bad: This ships with clips that are far too loose/large for the channels. (I'm willing to beleive they sent the wrong clips, but considering how it's packaged I'm not sure) Only useful as-is if mounting perfectly flat horizontal with no virbation, or movement, despite this the channels would still slide freely to either side in the clips as there is no grip, pinch, or grab points for them to lock into. Conclusion: The provided mounting brackets can be written off as "nearly useless", adding a dash of dissapointment to the producct. But to be fair, the rest (the important parts) are pure awesome!Suggestion to manufacturer: Adjust brackets smaller, or sink some grab points into the channels so they don't move.Suggestion to customers: You "can" bend the brackets but this seems to weaken them. I drilled flush sunk screw holes into the back of the channels and installed them before sticky-taping in the strips. Makes it harder to take down, but I think it looks even nicer than the clips would have made it. Or just mount it all up with sticky tape and not worry about this.

The product is good. Both the base and the cover are consistent and seem to be good quality. The base seems to have a sheen of machine oil on it that compromises the adhesive, so be POSITIVE that you have thoroughly cleaned the track with isopropanol before you stick down your LED strips. But the BEST part about this product is that the entire family has a consistent and usable part numbering scheme that makes it possible to search for and find exactly the variant you want, despite Amazon's terrible, useless product search. There might be cheaper versions out there, but I'm coming back here because I know exactly what I'm going to get.

This LED channel system looks understated and very nice once you get it installed. The package came with zero information. No installations instructions, nothing. The package contained small clips and tiny screws to hold the assembly in place but without instructions I was at a loss. Having renovated two homes I am not unfamiliar with installation processes. Some information would have been helpful. Should the clips be mounted where 2 lengths of channel are joined? Should the clips be offset with 2 clips per length of channel? Use your best judgment.Screws to mount each of the clips were also included. These tiny screws are probably adequate for sheet rock but my walls are poured concrete. I always use plastic plugs to hang things on my walls. I am not aware of any plastic plugs small enough to accommodate their tiny screws, and larger screws won't fit in the clips.Ultimately, I ended up installing the channel with double sided adhesive mounting tape. Hopefully the tape will be sufficient to hold the 16 feet of channel in place. Time will tell. If not, I'll try construction adhesive next.To make the channel system more rigid, I cut one piece of the diffuser in half and placed the half pieces at either end so that the channel and diffuser were offset. This system looks very nice. A stylish upgrade to my basement office.

The track was nice enough, however, it came with too few mounting brackets. There should have been at least two brackets per track, but I was missing several, which caused me to have to glue the product in. The covers were almost impossible to snap into the tracks. They bent easily and I ended up not using them.

I wanted a more professional and permanent way to mount my ambient LEDs by Govee versus just sticking them to the back of the desk. These fit my Govee RGBIC lights perfect. They are also available with milky white covers if you are looking to diffuse the light. Now in the future if I need to replace or upgrade my LED strip I can just pop the cover off and swap out the strips easily. Much better way of mounting lights. Also, not having to worry about the adhesive holding your lights in place is worth it alone (we've all been there)I just wish the 6ft were available in a 3 pack.
