You can use this at either tail light and can use two per vehicle if you want to power a whip on both sides. This listing is only for one but we also sell them in 2-packs. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS: The red and yellow wires are both power wires. You only need to use ONE of them. You can cut off the unused one and wrap the end in electrical tape. Red will provide 12v any time the key is on. Yellow will only provide 12v when the brake pedal is pressed. Use the red wire to power accessories such as whips and license plate lights. Use the yellow wire to power additional brake lights. Use the black ground for all applications. THIS MUST BE PLUGGED IN DIRECTLY AT THE TAIL LIGHT. IT WILL NOT WORK PLUGGED IN ANYWHERE ELSE.

As other reviews have mentioned, this 3 pin connector works perfectly on my Polaris General XP Ultimate, connecting directly to the tail light. I looked at another 4 pin connector that was supposed to work with the under bed connector, but my tail lights didn't work. Glad I read other reviews on this connector to find out it will work for me!

Easiest way to wire up your whip lights or chase bar, etc. for the X3. Literally takes 5 minutes to install. Quality product.

I bought another product that said it fit my Polaris but the plug was different. Even though this was listed for a can-am the plug look like mine, so I gave it a try. It worked great!

I bought these to hack up and use to swap X3 headlights onto my 2019 sport xrc. this was the only harness I found with that weird 3 prong plug. Have to be really careful which way you wire the plug so that you get all high low on each side mapped correctly to positive negative, otherwise you'll blow a fuse. LED headlights are waaaay nicer than the factory halogens.Manufacturer who's got access to these plugs, if you're listening, please make a harness that goes from 2 H11 bulbs to one of these... :)
