It was a little... too snug and scratched my mic up pretty badly, but just be careful and you'll be fine. Other than that it works great.

I needed a backup for Dachman DA 87 mics. This fit and did very well. I wish it were a but stronger. I'm not totally confidant holding such a heavy mic. I used a spare elastic and doubled the top one to help it hold better. The Dachman is heavy but a good overall substitute.

The elastic bits stretched after 2 months WITHOUT the mic mounted. It rests metal on metal now, so significantly worse than a hard mount. Terrible value.Stay away!

I got this to replace the original shockmount that came with the MXL 770 mic. The winged screw that tightens and holds the mic had sheared off. This is just like the original and works just as well. Just hope the screw lasts a bit longer.

This was a replacement for a MXL990 shockmount that fell apart.It was a good price and fit perfectly.I seem to go through alot of shockmounts. Now I know I can replace them without a problem.Thanks

Some of the cheapest feeling metal I have ever touched. Makes a 1980's Yugo feel like an M1 tank. Seriously, I don't know what the hell this stuff is, but handle with EXTREME care, any little bit WILL break if bent or over tightened in any way. For 40 bucks you guys could make some aluminum or something. HEADS UP, this is what you do, Buy a cheap ass 20 dollar mic combo, like a neewer, use the mount. I did that and got almost the EXACT same mount with a mic and cable for 20 dollars. Nice work MXL, I expected a 40 dollar mic mount and I got a lump of pot metal that wont last as long as a sheet of tin foil.

Fits the MXL 990 perfectly, and I imagine it would fit a range of LDC mics. Spring mechanism is great and the adjustable angle is nice too. Not flimsy, and hold a heavy mic really well. Definitely worth getting over using the plastic clip the 990 originally comes with.

I needed a shockmount for an old microphone with 63mm diameter. It fits perfectly!I think that 65mm diameter is max. what the mount can handle. When installed, let it be as much as possible. It looks like it won't last forever when constantly changing such big microphones.Great delivery from Germany to the Netherlands!

I bought this because the one I got broke. The original tightening mechanism I got with a mic I bought broke when I was trying to tighten the mic onto a stand to hard. Probably due to applying to much force. Anyways, it's a great shockmount that fits almost any mic into position nicely. It's worth the price you pay for it.
