This is a Great Barrel. After 24 hours already cured and ready to use. Engraving could be a little darker, but the barrel is good quality White Oak. And very good instructions. Thanks.Update: Received the new replacement stand and it looks great on my bar.

So it was beautiful engraved. But the wood near the rings was rough enough to cut if not carefully. After we did a little light sanding it was great. Maybe for the price you could do a little checking on the quality so it doesn't cut. It did leak but after letting it to sit and swell for about a week it was great.

I purchased this as a retirement gift for my boss, not pictured due to the customization. The engraving was deep, not barely etched like I've seen others to be. The base stain color didn't really match the barrel very well but that was a minor issue. The barrel is made of high quality materials. It was a highlight of the gift table!

The mini personal whiskey barrel is a cool concept and definitely makes for an interesting addition to any home bar. It has a great rustic look and can be a fun conversation starter. The idea of aging your own whiskey is exciting and offers a unique, hands-on experience.However, be prepared to put in some work! Setting it up requires quite a bit of preparation. You need to cure the barrel properly to prevent leaks, and then there’s the process of selecting and prepping the spirits to age. It’s not something you can just fill up and forget about—it takes effort and a bit of know-how.While it’s a neat idea, it’s not as straightforward as I initially hoped. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, it can be rewarding, but it’s definitely not a plug-and-play experience.

Very pleased,the casks come a little "green", but a little patience and it is just fine !!Up-date, a slight problem with the spigot leaking, they replaced it quickly, Great doing business with these folks !

I purchased this for a decoration in my office and it seems unfinished. The stand for the barrel has no color or stain. The barrel itself was fill with wood chips from the manufacturing process. The customized lettering is chipped and has very little color to make it stand out. The valve on the barrel looks horrible, it's wonky and to big for the size I purchased. The valve covers 1/4 of the lettering. I plan on putting some time into the decoration to make it nice and hopefully I can find a new valve that suits the size of the barrel better. To be honest I would be embarrassed to have given this as a gift without opening it first and seeing the condition it's in. It's definitely not functional in any way, display only. The small size is good for a book shelf but is lacking for a center piece or sitting on a bar.
