This is a great curb kit, it is a regular curb chain, but the little hooks are great. Probably you could buy a curb chain cheaper, and find little hooks just like these and make one yourself. The hooks are great because unlike typical English curb hooks, they don't stay open, waiting to gouge someone or the horse. These sort of screw shut, so they lock in place and don't have any open pointy parts. I have this on the Myler #36 bit for my mare who used to go in a French link snaffle and she is no longer tossing her head.
