The installation was easy—just two screws and a Wi-Fi connection. We did have a brief issue with the system mistaking our ladder for a person, but after contacting support, we learned it just needed time to adapt. Within five days, it stopped misidentifying the ladder. Overall, we’re really impressed with the system and highly recommend it. We now feel much safer!

After our dog drowned in our pool, I was reeling and willing to do anything to make it safe. We have two little ones and the peace of mind this advertised was what we needed. We spent the money, installed, and learned to use it. There were constant false alarms - at least 10-15 per day for our pool vacuum or just nothing. You're supposed to be able to report false alarms and over time it "learns". We were diligent. But weeks later, the false alarms never stopped. It's to the point you would just ignore it because it's constantly throwing false alarms, making it pointless. I really, really wanted this to work but finally accepted that it's just a garbage product advertised for people like us that fear another loss. I wish I had another product to recommend, but all I can say is to save yourself the time and money and don't buy this.

We received the system about two weeks ago and dove right into the installation! Completing our end-of-season checks was a priority for us, and we wanted to see how well the system performed. The installation process was a breeze—just a couple of screws and a Wi-Fi connection. After a few tries, we got it connected by moving the router closer to the pool.At first, the system didn’t detect drowning incidents, so we reached out to their customer service. They were incredibly helpful and guided us to simulate a drowning scenario by holding our breath and staying still. Once we did that, the system successfully detected the situation and activated the alarm—what a relief!We did encounter a quirky situation where the system confused a ladder for a person during certain times of day. After another chat with customer service, we learned that the system takes time to adapt to its environment. Thankfully, just five days later, it stopped misidentifying our ladder!Overall, we’re really impressed with how smart the system is, and we strongly encourage anyone with questions or concerns to connect with customer service—they truly make a difference! We feel a renewed sense of peace knowing we have this system in place, and we can't recommend it enough!

This pool alarm has so much potential and we really hoped it would give us peace of mind. The app is extremely buggy and setting up WiFi connections is really annoying. I did get WiFi connected once and got the unit up and working, even verified it alarmed for drowning by having my daughter sit motionless for a minute or so under water. After using it for a couple days we started to notice the alerts for pool entry were very delayed, sometimes minutes after my kids would enter the pool. The entry alarm is deactivated after the first alarm until is supposed to alarm when someone goes near or enters the pool after the pool has been unattended for 5 or more minutes. This could potentially lead to a problem though.. what’s if my 2 year old sneaks out to the pool 2 minutes after we came in? The alarm would not sound unless it sensed a drowning. My dogs being around the pool would keep the system in “attended†mode and it wouldn’t alarm when my kids would enter or come near the pool. There should be a setting for this to basically “arm†or “disarm†much like a home security system would work. For a $1500 dollar device I was blown away by how unintuitive it was. Finally the last straw was when the unit lost power. I accidentally unplugged the extension cord and plugged it back it. Wi-Fi did not automatically reconnect. I went thought the connection process multiple times and it would not find any Wi-Fi connection. I live in the middle of the city and it said it couldn’t detect any networks. Worst of all we found with the WiFi disconnected the unit would not alarm at all. That’s crazy for something that is supposed to save lives! We ultimately decided we needed to return Mylo and when initiating a return we were blown away again…you must have permission to return from the seller since it was not sold by Amazon! We requested permission to return and received a message back they would help troubleshooting the device during their business hours: 10:00am to 3:00pm eastern time Monday though Friday.. what am I supposed to do take a day off work to troubleshoot my pool alarm? I mean who has customer service hours that short? Thankfully they did end up approving the return. We did have to pay for shipping both ways which seems ridiculous but we got the bulk of our money back. Overall I would not recommend this product or company especially for the price they are asking. They have a lot of improvements to make before this is ready to be sold as a lifesaving device.

Peace of Mind is the best I can describe this product because I worry so much with my kids, their cousins, and other family friends coming over to our house to swim.We purchased this system back in March in preparation for the upcoming summer. The installation process was super simple, and the system works amazing! We now have peace of mind when I'm with the kids by the pool or when no one is outside, knowing that MYLO will alert us if something happens or someone is in the pool.With the unfortunate incidents that can happen with children around a pool during the summer, I believe this product is essential for every home with a pool!
