This product is used by companies that provide pool services. And yes it had to be this specific model which is hard to find. Amazon had it and were able to ship it in a reasonable amount of time.

I just converted to salt in my 40,000 gallon swimming pool. The is 23 40lb bags of salt, 920 lbs!The test strips for sale in the store look crude and do not have any precision.The two nearby swimming pool stores use this meter.Good enough for them, good enough for me.Fill the cup with test water and throw it out, repeat this two more times, on the third fill, turn knob to N, and push button. That's it.Being suspicious. I took water samples to the two stores. The results were within 50ppm.The unit that was 50ppm off was not washed three times as instructions say to do.

I own a pool service company and have bought countless testers in every price range, Non of them lasted. I was given up and thought Leslie's is nationwide so I called them up to fined out what they use in their stores and it's this. I bought it use it all the time for years and still as good as new without needing an adjustment. Just rinse it well with RO water after each use.

As a pool professional I need a reliable, accurate, durable machine to take salt and TDS readings. This product does all of these things. It cost a good amount but it makes me money. Thanks

Easy to use. A must have on my pool route for testing TDS in pool water. Very accurate and helps me know when to drain pools.
