This at first glance appears to be a 3/8†instead of 5/16†a very robust chain with a good choker hook. I wanted something for pulling small logs with a 25 horsepower tractor or a quad, this is way more than what I would ever need.

I generally skid red oak logs up to about 24" diameter and 9 feet long. This chain has been perfect for logs up to that size. I would estimate that they are about 1800 pounds. Any bigger than that, I can't cut on my mill or manhandle on my splitter. So, I would say this chain is perfect for my needs.

Works as it should, I’ve used and abused mine. It is short, so make sure you have another chain to assist.

This is incredibly handy! can wrap around about a 20 inch log/stump. My 11 year old son was able to use it flawlessly after being shown once allowing me to stay on the tractor and pull one branch/log/stump after another effortlessly. Time saver and incredibly less complicated than normal chain and hook trick. Should have owned a few of these way sooner.

The hook on this seems to be made in a way that doesn’t allow it to choke down on the log because it sticks. It then gets stuck on the links and you have to pound it off the links to get it to release.

Great product. The only change that i would make is adding some texture to the steel shaft to make it less slippery when using it in the winter.
