Storage Mode:

3 Trigger Modes

I am a computer scientist and I use this product to take attendance for my classes. Students scan the barcode on the back of their ID when they come into class. Previously, I used a rather large trigger based scanner in a stand that connected via USB to my laptop. Quite inconvenient to carry around campus. I tried a few other small pocket size scanners and they had trouble reading the id card barcode - very finicky - distance and angle all mattered. Students couldn't get the scan to work 30% of the time with the other scanners. I switched to the NADAMOO scanner, set it for continuous scanning, paired it with my laptop in seconds, laid it on the table in the classroom and students pop their id card down in front of the scanner and it reads them every time! Works beautifully and very fast. I use a Python attendance application I wrote that takes the id in a text box on the screen, welcomes the student to class and records their presence on that class date. I also tried the scanner in storage mode, so it just stores all of the ids from the scanning without the application running. After class I slip the scanner into my pocket and when back in my office, run the Python application - put the cursor in the text box and scan the upload barcode on the included card and it zips through the records and the application records the attendance. Pretty cool! I've used it in both bluetooth and 2.4 Ghz mode with the USB dongle. Both work beautifully. The Python application takes care of extra characters from the scan but I had to write it that way based on the previous scanner. With the NADAMOO, I can just eliminate them with a simple scan of a barcode from the easy to read manual. Great product. I've used it on a dozen classes and not had to recharge it yet. Very pleased with this product.

This scanner works great. I did have a little trouble at first getting it to pair to my computer, but I emailed the seller and they sent me a corrected manual with the right codes to scan to get it to pair. Since then, it's been working exactly as I need it to. The seller was prompt and very helpful when I reached out to them.I really like that it has a light that turns on while scanning. I regularly have barcodes on slightly metallic looking backgrounds that my other scanner, that just has a regular red laser scanner, has a hard time reading. I think the flash flattens that sheen a little so the scanner can actually read the barcode. I can see the bluetooth capability also being very useful in the future; my workplace is trying to transition to using more mobile computers, rather than stationary desktops.Overall, a great product that I would recommend to anyone. It is slightly on the expensive side, but the extra features more than make up for the difference in price from less expensive models. The form factor is also

Perfect for FBA scanning, save yourself the money and don't buy the $200 scanner. Easy to set up and switch between wired and Bluetooth. Quickly scans, haven't had any issues yet. My only request would be to be able to turn off the beeping altogether. There is a way to turn off some beeps but not all and it's a little annoying. I seriously debated $60 vs $200 and I'm glad I got this one. There is nothing the other one can do that this doesn't. Hope this was helpful!

It seems to scan faster if you hold the scanner directly above or in front of the barcode, it doesnt like when you scan at too much of an angle. The vibration feedback is great. Only minor complaint is that even after you use the scan code to turn off the beep, it still beeps loudly when it auto shuts off, which startles the hell out of everyone in a quiet office setting. The only other suggestion would be to make a slot in the side to insert the USB reciever when not in use, I could see loosing that easily, however the whole box it came in was small so I will keep it there. Also slightly annoying that you have to use a scan code to switch back and forth from USB receiver to Bluetooth, or to pair it with another laptop if you are sharing with someone. Would have been great if they included a Bluetooth pairing button/ power button.
