We used to use tape, but we invented Eyebloc because we didn’t like to get gunk on our laptop, phone, and other devices and we like to use our webcam to chat with friends and colleagues. I bought this back in January and wanted to spend some time using it before writing a review. I’ve been using the same one this entire time. If you wash it as directed and let it dry it works good as new. The color fades with the wearing of it in and out of my pocket but it never stops being sticky unless it gets oil and dirty on it. If I take it off and notice its slides a little I know it’s time to clean it. I think the oils from our faces gets underneath it. I do know when I take it off to use FaceTime I set it on the glass to the side and it picks up oil. Works great and highly recommend it if this is something you want to use. Depending on how much you take it off and on will determine how much you have to wash it.

Stays in place and keeps light from leaking. -Not A Permanent Sticker- Good quality material and adhesive; about as sticky as the super-sticky type of Post-It notes. Easy to install. I use them on a cell phone, for clients' peace of mind. They peel off, then restick eight or nine times... only after that they have a tendency to come off in the pocket. Works well.

I bought these camera covers after trying the black square ones. These have much weaker adhesion, but they do fit well in small places and look attractive and unassuming due to their round, sleek shapes. The round one fits my front camera much better than the square one. The oblong one is quicker to remove than the squares because it covers two camera lens spaces. I get excited when I take a picture and forget to smooth them on the back of the phone (slapping them on just won't do for these or the squares). These pad the camera from falls, and protect it from everyday scratches. They're way worth the expense. I wish I'd had these on my other phone which was hacked through the camera.

Update:It's now January 2022 and the covers I placed on my Android tablet are STILL in place (mind you they have never been moved). The covers on my phone gave way a couple weeks after my original review, but considering that for work I have my phone in/out of pockets 50 times a day I'd say these stickers put up a fair fight.Sadly, I am still on the hunt for a cam cover that is small enough to fit the thin bezel of my Dell XPS and won't mind being moved/replaced regularly - but alas... I fear I shall forever be stuck using trimmed sticky notes.Original Review:These are a soft foam with sticky film on one side. If you don't intend to move them, they stick and remain in place wonderfully. But, if like me, you need to move them once weekly to access your camera - expect a short lifespan.I gave these 3 stars because the pieces I placed on my tablet and phone cameras (and never remove) have remained securely in place for months with regular handling and travel - and exposure to heat and light moisture. On the other hand, the 2 pieces placed on my Dell XPS permanently lost adherence in the 1st month of use after being gently removed/replaced once weekly.PROs:- ruggedly stays in place once positioned (as long as they are not regularly moved)- leaves no residue behind when removed, even after exposure to warm or moist environments- will not scratch even the most dainty of surfaces- the oblong covers are just small enough to use on Dell XPS thin bezel laptopsCONs:- loses stickiness quickly if regularly removed/replaced to camera- directions that came with the covers say to quick rinse the sticky side with water and let air dry to reactivate the stickiness. This didn't work for me - tried with 3 different pieces.

In order to stick a piece back on, you have to wet the white part a little bit and then stick it onto the camera. I've found that these are pretty durable and they do not break as easily as the plastic camera covers I have bought in the past. I have constantly removed and stuck this webcam cover on my phone multiple times and I have yet to see any smearing or cracks. I would definitely recommend this product instead of the other camera covers where you have to slide the plastic cover around.

I bought this product because I was fascinated by the product description that this sticker can be trimmed as I want and can be easily reused when it loses its stickiness.But this description is half right and half wrong. It can be trimmed, but one side is a material similar to double-sided tape, and the other side is a something like soft cloth. One side is sticky and the other side is mushy. Trimming was not easy.I wasted two stickers to make a small dot to cover the front camera of the iPad, and after that, the stickiness of the sticker disappeared in the process of making it. So I washed it with water and dried it as described, but the original stickiness won’t come back, and only small enough stickiness remained to barely stick to the screen.So, I tried using a different unused sticker to do the same experiment, but the result was same. Once it loses its adhesion (most likely happened when you remove it from the screen once), original stickness strength does not come back even though you wash & dry it. I would say only 50% of original stickness comes back.I spent some effort to make the dot sticker which perfectly fits on my camera, but it became useless since it lost adhenshion. It fell off so easily. Then I had to trim double-sided tape and attached on the other side to use it.It seems like I ended up blocking the camera by using trimmed double-sided tape. I can't return this product because I've already used 2 stickers, but for those of you who haven't ordered this item or just placed an order, there's still a chance. Do not waste $10. Just get the double-sided tape that works better.

These little webcam covers work great! Seem well made. Easy to put on, can be removed and put back on and still "adhere" well without leaving any residue on the phone. Very glad I found these - would buy again.

Using these for over a year now and have to say I'm very impressed with them - placed one on my laptop webcam when I first received these covers and still securely in place today. Also regularly use two other covers from the pack on a temporary basis (on/off regularly) and following a full year's usage they still stay in place as well as they did on the first day! According to the packaging, these covers can be rinsed and let dry in order to recover suction (in case they ever lose it)!! Good sizes included for covering camera lenses.

Works exactly as promised. I am SO happy I got rid of the older disgusting glue-on covers. These suction patches are soft and thin, without glue, and very easy to place and replace. Thank you guys, this is an amazing product.
