If you’re looking at any other cases other than Nanuk - STOP right now! I’ve purchased all sorts of different cases from top of the line Pelican and custom made all the way to Harbor “you get what you pay for†Freight. Nanuk wins in all cases! No pun intended.The quality of the craftsmanship, protection, and finish are second to none. The price point is also very reasonable when considering the value of what you’re protecting.Nanuk’s latches are arguably my favorite part of their products. They work VERY WELL and I do not have to worry about hurting my fingers/pinching the skin on my hands when opening/closing cases (yes Pelican that’s targeted at you).I just got these TSA latches and they’re gorgeous! Like the Lid Liner- perfect integration to the case, great initial quality- sad that, like the lid-liner, this is a seperate item to buy and NOT inexpensive - kind of an insult after injury considering the higher case cost to begin with...

When you realize that ultimately the latches are only as secure as the pressed-in pins retaining them, I don’t know if they are worth it. It’s better IMO to use a lock through the holes in the lid and body. But yeah, the latches are decent to keep honest people out. Someone determined could pry them or pull the latch pins.

I bought a Nanuk 950 and these latches together. Man it was so easy to get and install. I could not find TSA lockable latches for my Pelican. This makes it a breeze to obtain and the installation was so easy. Just need a small hammer, punch (I used the extra long pin they give as a punch, and reused the old pin in the new latches), and a pair of pliers. Comes with easy to follow instructions, new long and short pins, and the latches.

It was very difficult to get the pins out of the case, but once the pins were out it was a very easy install. Excellent construction and very easy to lock/unlock and open/closed.

Loved that it is for my Nanuk case and at a great price. Easy to replace the non locking hinges. They look just like the original hinges except it locks. Airline was very impressed and said this is what they look for when transporting firearms.

I recently purchased a Nanuk 915 case and I wanted to secure my gear. I did a lot of online research, but most websites indicated this product did not fit the 915 case, so I purchased the external Nanuk combination locks. Those locks work well, but they rattle, they’re cumbersome, and they are another piece of equipment to keep up with. Then a few days ago I discovered a website with an updated list of compatible cases which shows this retrofit kit fits the 915 case. So I ordered immediately. The video in the Amazon listing is all the installation instructions you need. It took about 10 minutes total to do the upgrade and I could not be happier. If you have a Nanuk case, you’ll love this upgrade.

Removing and installing new latch to 930 case was easy, following Nanuk instructions. Replacement pins were originally missing, but when I pointed this out to seller, it was quickly and courteously resolved. I’m happy to recommend product and seller.

No issues. For me the latch fixes fine onto the 955.Yes very costly hop up upgrades picture it 4 latches on one case?Very expensive. You can use a big good abus lock but sometimes you need the TSA ones.what choice in these days of age.But if no TSA is required I can use an abus to locked it further.But it will mean over locking.Only nanuk has these idea. Better than buying Rimowa or even Pelican. Not that they are bad products but maybe.the thought of it was not there.
