We’ve been using Naturally Fresh Walnut Cat Litter for a while now, and it has quickly become the go-to choice for several reasons. Both cats always are happy to use it, bury properly, and the tracking is fairly minimal (with the box in the garage with a kitty trapdoor). As a cat owner, I’m always on the lookout for litter that’s effective, eco-friendly, and gentle on my cats, and this product ticks all those boxes. We put a baggie into a plastic litter container and scoop the hard clumps into the bag for easy disposal.Absorbency & Clumping:One of the best features is its impressive absorbency. The walnut shells are highly absorbent, which means the litter traps moisture quickly. This leads to firm, tight clumps that are easy to scoop out without breaking apart. Cleanup is efficient, and it minimizes the amount of litter needing replacing every 3-4 weeks.Odor Control:Odor control is another strong point for a lot of pet owners. Naturally Fresh litter neutralizes odors effectively without the use of artificial fragrances. It smells a bit woody. I appreciate this because it doesn’t just mask the smell with a strong perfume, but rather absorbs and locks in unpleasant odors, keeping the litter box area smelling fresh longer. Even after a few days, it doesn’t get that strong ammonia smell typical with other litters. We have never noticed a smell.Eco-Friendly & Dust-Free:What sets this litter apart is that it’s made from walnut shells, a renewable and biodegradable resource. It’s also free of silica dust, so there’s no cloud of dust when pouring it into the box or scooping, making it a healthier option for both my cats and us. Plus, it’s gentle on their paws, which I’ve noticed keeps them coming back to the box without hesitation.Tracking & Mess:The one area where Naturally Fresh could improve is tracking. Although it clumps well, I do find some litter scattered outside the box occasionally. It doesn’t track as much as clay litter, but if you have a particularly playful cat, it can still end up around the house. Not too bad, as we only need to worry about sweeping it once a week, give or take. Adding a litter mat can help reduce this issue.Overall, I highly recommend Naturally Fresh Walnut Cat Litter to any cat owner looking for a natural, environmentally friendly, and effective product. It offers excellent absorbency, reliable odor control, and minimal dust. While tracking can be a minor issue, the benefits far outweigh this downside. It’s a great alternative to clay-based litters, especially for those who want a sustainable option that performs well. Our cats are happy and healthy, so we are satisfied!

if odor control is your top priority, GET THIS LITTER! I live in a small apartment with 2 cats, so needless to say odor control is a big one for me. I have been using Worlds Best Cat Litter until one of my coworkers recommended this one to me. so far, I am loving it.it is cheaper than Worlds Best, safe for your cat, and i don’t have to change out the entire litter as often because the odor control is that good. seriously, i don’t smell the litter box at all anymore. with Worlds Best, i always felt like there was this lingering odor even after i cleaned the box. Not this one. It’ll smell a little bit right after your cat goes #2, give it 5 minutes and the smell is gone and back to fresh. people can’t even tell that i have cats when they come over. i still scoop everyday, but you could get away with scooping every other day even.the only downsides I would say is the clumping and the tracking. This stuff does clump, but not as good as Worlds Best. To me, this is not a huge problem because it is still very manageable and does not stick to my stainless steel litter box. When it comes to tracking, I will say that I find myself sweeping by the litter box multiple times a day. This litter definetly tracks more than Worlds Best, but I overlook this because the odor control is so good.all in all it’s a five stars for me since my main problem was odor and this definetly has done the trick!

I've tried Pretty Litter, and some other clay litters and they were definitely not for me. Those litters (even Pretty Litter) would mess up my throat because of the dust, but this litter genuinely has little to no dust.I personally like to be able to see the litter, especially when it's tracked on the ground (it's a dirt color essentially) but that's my personal preferenceIt clumps urine and feces better than any other litter I've used as well, so it's really easy cleaning out the litter box. It's also softer, which took some getting used to for my cat, so I had to add her previous litter to this litter to allow her to feel more comfortable, but she uses this litter just fine by itself now, but it's just something to keep in mind.I got a 26 pound bag for about 20 bucks, which has saved me a lot of money, since it lasts way longer! And I got the litter for multiple cats, and it has reduced odor a lot better than other litterOverall, I highly recommend this litter, but every cat is different, so it may be a hit or miss whether your fur baby likes it or not.Happy shopping and good luck!

I have tried a handful of different litter types in an effort to find something a little more biodegradable. I've tried the wheat stuff, the corn stuff, wood pellets, etc. This litter is, in my opinion, the best at controlling odor by comparison. As with any of these litters, if you let it go without scooping for several days, it's gonna stink. But this one does a pretty good job. It's efficacy in this area decreases as time goes on though, so you will need to change all of the litter at least monthly, depending on how many cats you have (honestly, you should be doing this regardless!). This litter is also the least dusty. And it clumps well! Pretty easy to scoop. It does track a little, but I don't find everything within a 4 foot radius coated in dust like with those other options. And in the scheme of these types of "natural" litters, I feel like the price is very reasonable.

The litter is very good quality - it's extremely efficient at keeping odour under control, it's not dusty, and there's no ammonia smells. However, for my 3 cats this $65 bag lasted less than a month. That's way too expensive for cat litter when there are other good quality brands that are half the price and are also entirely effective as long as you're scooping everyday. If I were rich I'd probably keep buying this because it is a good quality product, but I really can't justify $65/mo on cat litter. That's as much as I spend on gas lol. When I bought this, I was expecting it to last me closer to two months as the packaging (seen in the product images) claims it lasts 3X longer than other litter, but that's simply not true. I did not find that it lasted any longer than a same-size bag of any of the other litter varieties I've used.
