2. SD cards can only be used in one car. Once you register the card with your vehicle, the SD card is locked with the car's VIN, it's permanent! Your vehicle must be equipped with navigation hardware.

Turn the vehicle off

Locate the navigation SD card slot. Most slots are located either in the center console or behind a small access door in the instrument panel. Consult your Owner's Manual for assistance if needed.
Remove the old SD card. Your SD card slot is spring-lacaded. To remove the SD card, just push the card in and release it. Do not attempt to pull the card to remove it with out pushing it in first, as this could cause damage.
Step 4
Insert the new Navigation SD card into the SD card slot until it clicks.
Step 5
Start the engine to ensure the new Navigation SD card functioning. The word "NAVIGATION" should appear in the upper right-hand corner. Press"NAVIGATION" to access.

I recently purchased a 2019 Mercedes CLA250. As with any used vehicle, there may be things that need repair or replacement. The dealership did not have the Garmin Navigation SD Card nor were they willing to provide one. They encouraged me to purchase an aftermarket card on eBay. Just for entertainment (or maybe out of boredom), I reached out to a dealership just to see what their price was for a card…they quoted over $300. So to Amazon I went and $25.32 was spent (this was after the $3 coupon and sales tax).After some searching and comparing and researching, I decided to grab a card. I looked for sellers with a decent review trendAND who offered a return policy. Ordered the card on a Sunday and it arrived as scheduled on Wednesday. After watching some videos, I opened up the navigation menu on my car and inserted the SD card. Initially, I received a “this card is corrupted†error message. I removed the card, made sure it wasn’t locked and reinserted it into my infotainment center. It powered right up and asked me if I wanted to pair it with my vehicle. After answering a few install questions that appear on the screen, the card ran its install stuff and my navigation system was active!Few things to remember:Be sure you’re ordering the correct card for your vehicle. Mercedes can be a little tricky if you’re not paying attention. C-Class is not CLA. Also, you can’t take tell which system by looking at the shape of the display screen. This card works with the screen that is more square and not the one that is longer and more rectangular in shape.If the card reports as corrupt, don’t panic (initially). Simply remove the card, confirm it’s not locked, and reinsert. Remember the card can only be paired with one vehicle. If it was used with another vehicle and refurbished it will not work.Once you confirm you want to pair with your vehicle, it’s a wrap. You can’t take it and use it in another Mercedes (I think that’s what the previous owner did not knowing the joke would be on them and they’d still have to buy a new SD card).The best $25.32 spent. Hope this review helps. Now on to tackle the expensive 2nd key fob issue. 😳If anything changes or I have updates I’ll come back.

Installed the chip. Update completed. After not using the vehicle overnight, when i started the vehicle the next morning the update started all over. Is this suppose to happen
