Beautiful and functional design. Lid slides smoothly. Scoop is the perfect size and the wood has great color and finish. I planned on gifting this one - but so glad I kept it. This will make a great gift and I plan to buy a few more!

I ordered this spice well because I thought it might be more convenient to keep handy next to the stove while cooking (as opposed to using my automatic salt grinder which can be both cumbersome and if I’m not careful often ends up over-salting whatever I am cooking). This well is both an attractive and functional little container. The scoop is cute and handy. I originally had the intention of putting both salt and pepper inside this but decided to just store salt only on both sides. Even though there is a division, I feel like it would be more likely than not to cross-contaminate the two if I’m not careful (usually I’m not). I ordered a spice well similar to this one about a month prior from a different company which arrived damaged. This one is considerably more durable while the lid is easy to slide open or close with a magnetic reinforcement. The price is about average compared to other spice boxes with a similar capacity on Amazon ($15 at the time of writing this review). Overall, I’m super happy with this and would highly recommend!

Love the swivel and magnetic closure. I kind of wish it was a little larger since it's split into two compartments. Sometimes it can be cumbersome to scoop contents from one side without getting it into the other side, or just have enough space for your fingers to scoop something out either side. Also, do not hold it by the lid only - it only has a dowel rod that allows the lid to swivel so nothing is actually holding the two pieces together. I grabbed it wrong once and the bottom part fell off the lid part...luckily it was empty as I was getting ready to wash it, but still good thing to note.

Smooth finish, beautiful natural acacia wood pattern, great size, perfect lid closure.Looks beautiful on our countertop.
