I repurposed a small boat trailer to fit my mini pontoon. I didn't need a very heavy safety chain when the boat and trailer weigh less than 1000 lbs. These were the perfect solution. The quality of the latch seems good and they were just the right length.

I love how easy these are to latch to my tow hitch. I made the mistake of ordering a much longer set than I needed but was able to twist them up so they’re the right length. Great value, would Recommend

Use a Kar Kaddy car dolly to pull our Prius behind the motorhome and a few trips ago one of the safety break-a-way chains that wrap over the cars A arm was loose then towing the dolly empty and dragged on the road for many miles. The safety on the S hook was lost. I used the chain this way for a couple of trips but on the last trip I noticed while doing a safety check that the S hook had worked its way loose. I decided it was time to address this. I decided just to replace both 36" safety chains. These were a little long at 48" and they had S hooks at each end, I just needed on one end but I had the tools to cut the chain to 36" and the price was right and they were rated (see listing pictures) @ 7000lbs, plenty for my Prius curb weight of 3010 lbs.These chains and the attached S hooks look and feel to be up to that grade rating, using a full sized 12" metal cutoff saw the links DID resist cutting, NOT like some chains that will slice though like cutting a sandwich. The safety latches look and feel sturdy too. I replaced both chains and am pleased with the new ones, won't have to wonder if one has come undone while motoring on down the highway.

Using these on several boat trailers and they are good and simple to use, strong and cheap enough to put on any trailer

They are adequate for the purpose of extending the safety chains on 2000’lb trailer.

I purchased a boat recently and the trailer hitch needed replacing. I also had a rusted plastic coated wire that was on this trailer as a safety chain. Thank God on the trip home I didn't need to rely on those to keep my boat behind my truck. Well off to Amazon I went to find some replacement safety chains. The picture I saw online of these chains didn't do these things justice, but I didn't worry about it. Amazon has a Great return policy so I never worry. They aren't right, I can send them back. Well these are some heavy duty safety chains. Large S hooks with a spring clip so they won't slip off. Very impressed. Great chains at a Great price. I believe they were only $18. Would buy again, but will never need another set for this trailer. These should last a long time!

I bought these to replace the trailer cables I had on my 16' boat trailer. They were the perfect length to reach from my trailer to my truck and the chain and clips all seem to be made with excellent quality.
