This was bought as a gift for someone and once I opened it before gift wrapping, and was truly blown away by how well-made it was. Its new owner has written several notes with each of the tips and has assured me that its performance is top-notch. I will take their word for it because I’d know if they were displeased in the slightest. The ink colors are beautiful and transfer well to different types of paper. Such a fun and easy to use gift! Now, if only there were other colors, I might consider buying one for myself.

I got into using fountain pens so bought this. It's pretty heavy, and difficult to use. But it's pretty! And it does work, if you can figure out a good way to hold it. I'm kind of using it more as decoration since it's too difficult to use regularly.

As a former semi professional Calligrapher I missed my collection of pens, nibs, and inks lost or discarded by others over years and relocations.This well constructed quill pen set, comes complete with an assortment of 6 nibs for writing, calligraphy, pen & ink sketching as well as 5 small bottles of colored inks.Suitable for elementary school ages to seniors, a great way to get started with the classical and historic Art of pen and ink.Missing instruction leaflet. Free and purchased Calligraphy and Ink Sketching Guides are readily available.Personal aside: Not sure why the NC Quill pen decoration includes watch or clock gears on the feather. Also, a small ink blotter would be an inexpensive thoughtful inclusion.Overall: Calligrapher Recommended!
