Grabbed these to repair the few shingles on a small shed. They are easy to use and function as intended. The color matches the images and the part I used it on looks good. They are lightweight so they are not meant for a house roof. Durable for shed.

I ordered these shingles to cover the wood roof on my chicken coop. I really liked the dark blue color shown in the product photos, to match the color of the coop. I was surprised when I opened the box of shingles - the blue is quite a bit lighter than advertised (see my photos) - and half of each shingle is grey, not blue. Also, the shingles are thin - I could tell that they didn’t have much density when I lifted the box. The shingles are well formed (no ragged edges) and are fully covered by the sand mixture.Luckily, my coops are not as exposed to wind/weather as a house or garage would be (and is easily accessible for repairs, if need be), so these shingles should be ok for my use (though not the color I expected). I don’t think I would recommend these shingles for a dwelling or garage, due to potential durability and strength issues.

While hammering a nail for placement, the shingles became brittle and started to fall apart. It was quite a horrible experience. DIY excitement to dismay.

Please note that these are shed shingles, not normal shingles. They are smaller and thinner. It's basically the same thickness as an asphalt roll.I got them for an awning, and they're perfect for a small area like that. Plus, they're very light weight compared to real shingles and much easier for me to carry up and down the ladder. The colors are spot on as well. I got the dark brown, and it's a great match for my name brand shingles. They would also be good as scrap pieces for small repair jobs on the roof, or for aesthetic purposes like covering up aluminum flashing around the chimney.

These were great. I used them for a little chicken coop and they were perfect. Easy for me a total amateur to use for the roof.

When I was offered a box of shingles to review, I thought it was my lucky day. I needed shingles to finish off the shed roof. If didn't occur to me that this company would sell a box of shingles with about 1/3 the square footage that name brand companies enclose in a box. These were, after all, about 50% MORE expensive than the name brands. And they're about 50% the thickness of the name brands. I don't claim to be an expert in roof shingles, but these seem like poor quality goods at a luxury quality price. NOT recommended.
