The shields on my bench grinder were in bad shape, which kind of defeats the purpose of having them in the first place. Picked these up to replace the original ones and I am very happy with them. You do have to drill a couple of holes to use them, but anybody that has a bench grinder probably has a drill and knows how to use it.

This eye shield is larger and much thicker than the original shield... so it's definitely much more robust.I've been living with a broken shield on my bench grinder for many years and saw this on Amazon and figured I'd finally get around to fixing it.Installation was simple, but does require drill the attachment holes so it fits the original bracket. The plastic drilled easily, but it is key to let the drill bit do the work and not apply too much pressure. The total job was under 20 minutes and this included cleaning and painting the original bracket.This shield is a definite upgrade to the original, but it's not cheap. In my opinion it is at a high price point, but I guess it's paying for convenience, instead of just buying a plastic sheet and making one myself.The Eye Shield is as described and pictured on Amazon - 4 Stars from me
