The top part that locks into the drill chock twisted and bent on the first hole I drilled making the ice auger wobble while trying to drill more holes. It’s useless now. Look at different products!

Nicely machined, high quality stainless. The 7/8" shank section was a good fit and worked well on a StrikeMaster 8" ice auger bit (Tecumseh power head, 5/16" hold-down bolt). However, on an Eskimo Mako M43 power auger bit the through shank hole is too small for the 3/8" hold-down bolt. Have to take it to a machine shop to get it bored out (or another hole drilled like the 3/4" adapter section). I did not try to use it with any manual ice auger bits. Good buy if it will work in your auger. If not, prepare for some extra cost and effort to modify it.

I picked this up to allow me to use my ice auger with my Milwaukee drill. I was so impressed when I opened the box and held the adapter- it is made from once milled out piece of steel! There are no parts to break or come apart on this, just a solid hunk of steel. Now, this does make it a bit more heavy but when you consider the weight of an ice auger, it really isn't noticeable. This is made to fit a variety of auger shaft sizes, all conveniently contained in one adapter. There are a few pieces that can be lost including the adapter ring and cotter pin, but since it comes with a case, they all fit in there nicely and shouldn't get lost easily. This made auguring out multiple holes in the ice a breeze!

It was a tight fit in my Eskimo 6" ice auger. I chucked it up and ran it against some sand paper and it fit right it, but buyer beware, might need to to some light tough up work to make it fit. I like how this is able to fit multiple augers. Nice machine work as well, I like how they chamfered the holes.

Got this for my husband, and his glowing review was: “It does what it needs to do.†So… there you have it. 😆 After some additional interrogation, he admitted that it seems durable and works well so far. No complaints, which in tool-world is basically high praise.

Misleading ad. Shows clip, washer and set screw Allen wrench. Even though they are pictured with the adapter they are NOT includec. Have to search for and read the fine print to know they aren’t included.

I like having at least 2 of most things like this because they are so easy to misplace.Very easy installation and seems very durable. Very handy to have for a garden or ice auger drill
