This kit comes with everything I need to play commander! The dry erase tokens are fantastic. The tray and dice make tracking commander damage a breeze! The life wheel is the best I've used so far. Both of the cases are well made and look great.

I ordered a Commander's Essentials Kit for myself as a little holiday treat and I *LOVE* it! The tray is super sturdy and the colors in person of not just the tray, but the life counters and dice look even nicer than in the photos.The token pouch it comes with is super convenient. I'm a combo player and always need counters and tokens to track my things and the pouch fits all of them perfectly. The Commander home tray fits my commander, isn't too big on my mat, and allows me to easily keep track of commander damage and my own commander tax.Overall, I'd definitely buy another and think they make the perfect gift for any MTG player or just anyone who enjoys TCGs!

This kit is everything magic the gathering players want! It is well made and has tons of utility for any commander game being played. The dry-erase tokens are well made and it even has very popular (and funny) pre-made tokens that you can use. The life counter is easily the best made counter I have ever had the pleasure of spinning. And to top it all off the carrying cases are roomy and very well built. You will be the envy at the table with this kit!!!

This is basically a what you see is what you get sort of situation, with a plastic tray for organizing your commander or general along with some dice and a health counter.The counter is pretty satisfying to turn, with substantial little notches on each number. It won't turn on its own, either.The dice are pretty standard and have a NG logo instead of a 20 face. There's also a little card pouch that includes the dry erase tokens if you just want to scibble them down in lieu of having an actual card. Both that pouch and the main zippered pouch are made of felt and have a good feel in the hand.The board is, on the other hand, just fine. I like the colour and it pairs well with the lighter dice, but the edges are kind of mottled in places (from the mold?) and the painting of the letters is noticeably sloppy, with bits of silver paint smearing out onto the front. Ultimately it doesn't affect the use, but it's a surprising bit of fit and finish work given the relatively high price point.On the bright side, there is plenty of room for a sleeved card (I put one of the included cards in the biggest sleeve I had on hand) and it's easy to remove wiith the notch on the side.

I recently rediscovered all of my MTG cards and thought, WOW, I can't believe I still have these - I need to teach my kid to play. He just started doing DnD tabletop with his friends and I know when I was doing RPing with my friends it was always a fun way to pass the time while waiting for everyone to show up. I got this to give to him for his birthday and I can't wait to see his face. The kit comes in a cute box and has all the accessories one would need to start their MTG adventure. The products are all of good quality and sturdy design and just look cool. Perfect for my 13 year old! I would definitely recommend and even got a counter for myself!
