Absolutely outstanding stock performance. The new ball ammunition is revolutionary and takes accuracy, velocity and distance (somewhat) to a new level with Nerf. This is targeted at older youth for basically an indoor paintball type experience. It delivers. The velocity is high enough that you won't be dodging them within 25 feet or so and they are much more accurate than the previous dart and even disc iterations. The balls themselves are rubbery, soft and compress upon impact which means that you definitely feel them but they won't leave a serious welt or pain. Obviously, eye protection is recommended but that was always the case. The priming mechanism is a strong pull so wouldn't be suitable for younger players, also the handle is very wide in diameter, to the point of it almost is too wide and uncomfortable. The included 7 round magazine is sufficient to get started but for longer play you'll want to invest in some spare 12 rounders from the Nerf Zeus lineup. All in all, I can't wait to see what the next products in this lineup from Nerf are as these take the game to a whole new level. (The level I've been hoping they were at for the last 15 years).

Since I bought our 7 yo son a nerf dart gun for Christmas, I figured my 30-something yo hubby needed one too. It looks really cool. Our son tried it, but he didn’t have the hand strength to fire it. Hubby did...we have all paid for this choice in gift lol! It started out with evasive maneuvers around the house playing with the kids. Now we get random single shots fired form another room! Stealthy. So one day while getting ready to shower, I spotted the Nerf gun on the floor next to the bed. He was unsuspecting, so I grabbed it. From the bathroom, he turns to look at me in all my naked glory, then he sprints toward me in the bedroom, a swift attempt to disarm. Hurriedly, I turn the gun to figure out how to cock it and SNAP! I fired the darn thing right into my own bare belly!!! He drops to the floor anyway, with laughter, but I still win right? He rises to his knees to take his prized present from my hands, but he finds himself breathless with laughter again when he sees the welt. While we have had a lot of fun (and pain) with this Nerf gun, I will have to buy it’s fraternal twin so we have more of a fair fight in the future. I shall practice and I will be victorious. For older teens to adults only, great for couples therapy...I’m just saying ;)

I own 4 of these NERF Rival shooters now and I love this item. The accuracy is far superior to a normal dart gun and the balls are much harder to damage. Normal tube shaped darts fall apart so easily and I always have to buy so many of them. I have not had to replace these ammo balls yet and they have been well used over the past few months I have owned this item! It is worth the investment to get a Rival gun over another type of nerf gun. If you actually like hitting your target then this is the item to get! Fun for most ages as well. My niece and nephew love this item and so do I! The ammo balls can sting a little but they do not hurt. They have never left a bruise. So far this item is a big hit.

Wow, this thing shoots fast. Fast enough that you can't let kids (like mine under 3rd grade) play with it without direct adult supervision. In fact, none of my kids can even cock it themselves. But, it's an awesome Nerf gun. It's really accurate, has a great sound, and is a blast to play with. I would love to have a full Nerf battle with a set of these.

Kids love 'em and they were 1/2 the price available anywhere else.Keep in mind these shoot FAR, I'm talking across-the-street far. Although the bullets are soft round balls, they could sting a little at point blank range and definitely hurt an eye, so they aren't really made for very little kids. (Buy extra bullets!)Also, the cocking mechanism is very tedious for my 6 year old, although he does manage to do it by putting the gun on the ground pointed up, (yep, towards his face), then pushing down on the lever. It takes a while for him to cock again, but he and his 10 year old brother still love them.

Got these for my 4 year old niece for her birthday and she loves it. I anticipated she would have a hard time cocking the gun but she is pretty strong and was able to do it.Most of the time the balls fly perfectly straight and are very accurate with twice the velocity of the best dart nerf guns, other times the had a consistent hook to the right. pretty sure that was ball related as some of the balls do not meet perfectly at the seam.

This worked perfect. One son had one so bought one for my other son. I recommend not using in the house and absolutely using a face guard. Accidents happen. The face guard is sold separate. Gin doesn't jam and has Fantastic accuracy

I love this product as to expect from nerf but this is 100 fps and hits rly hard when it hits u it feels like a sharp finger flick but it doesn't like hurt and over all the cocking system is hard to cock back and u can get some jams with it,whenever it happened to me,I just found out that u need to cock it back a little further and then let I go all the way back again if children use it,this is bound to happen they will prbly get used to it tho and now to the rival rounds they r accurate and nice the mag is fine aswell bought this during a sale for 1700rs overall worth it th deliverywas on time aswell but took longer than what I would've liked and yeah that's it.

My favourite nerf gun by far, and I don't have a small collection by any means.Fires much harder than any N-strike, with the added bonus that the balls hurt much less than the plastic tipped darts.Operated correctly, it never jams, you just have to ensure you pull the slide all the back, and push it forward all the way.The action was a little stiff at first, but quickly loosened up with use.One thing to note: it is LOUD. The spring inside is very powerful, and if you're shouldering it when you fire, the noise is enough to ring in your ear.Not really much of a hazard in the house though - it might be able to knock things over, but the balls have hit my flatscreen TV and pictureframes without doing any damage.

Mai mi sarei aspettato prestazioni simili da una nerf gun, precisa, e con un tiro teso che i blaster a dardi o a dischi possono scordarsi, rumorosa nel caricamento, richiede uno sforzo superiore a tutti gli altri blaster data la piccola impugnatura, e la molla comunque piu potente.Impugnatura comodissima anche per me che ho i manoni da bimbo cresciuto.-SCONSIGLIO CALDAMENTE DI LASCIARLA NELLE MANI DEI BAMBINI PIU PICCOLI, data la maggiore potenza sulle brevi distanze(0-10 metri) nonostante siano palline di gomma piuma posso fare male se colpiscono in viso.Hasbro in primis ha dichiarato che la serie rival è dedicata ai bambini cresciuti che però ancora vogliono divertirsi.
