I purchased Vertuoline Evoluo machine on last August 2016, and have been used it frequently (twice a day during the weekdays). So far, the machine works great and I am highly satisfied. Note that I also have Pixie (which is OriginalLine) at home. So let me compare these two to provide valuable review. But one thing first! I read many Amazon reviews on this machine, and one of the biggest complaint was "not hot enough" problem. And it scares me. However, with two months of usage, I did NOT have any problem with coffee temperature. The coffee was as hot as the espresso of Pixie.Pros:1) Shorter ready time - Pixie needs 25 sec while this one needs 15 sec. Not a huge difference but faster is slightly better.2) Less messy - this is a great benefit over Pixie. After making espresso (or coffee), there is little residue and I don't have to clean the tray (a.k.a. cup support) frequently. Meanwhile, I need to clean the tray after 3-4 times use for Pixie. It is a huge advantage if you put the machine at your office.3) Good for coffee lover - if you love espresso or latte or cappuccino, Pixie with milk frother would be a better option. Yet, if you prefer americano-type of coffee, this will be the great choice. Also, it has a unique flavor, hazelio, which does not exist for OriginalLine.Cons:1) No "more water" indicator - unlike Pixie, there is no empty water tank alert. You will hear irregular sound when you use the machine, and that is the time that you will figure out that it is time for adding the water, and it is inconvenient.2) Maybe... a higher capsule price? - typically, one single VertuoLine capsule ($1.20) is expensive than one single OriginalLine capsule ($0.80). But when I drink americano by using Pixie, I usually add two espresso shots (i.e., $1.60). Meanwhile, I only use one capsule for Vertuoline, and I don't see the big difference in terms of taste.3) No hot water option - I sometimes drink tea. So I use Pixie to get the hot water. However, this machine does not support this option. In conclusion, I like this machine, and I believe this is especially good for office use.

Not only does it make great espresso and regular coffee, it is by far the easiest and quickest espresso maker I have ever used. It reads the barcodes on the pods specifically made for the machine to determine how much water and timing is needed for each type of coffe and pod. Including heating time, it only takes 30 seconds to deliver an espresso with the push of one button. I usually make doubles so it might take closer to a minute for me. What’s great is there is no mess and it even ejects the used pods into a removable container built into the right side of the machine. The machine comes with 8 samples of coffee pods and 4 samples of espresso pods if you want to try the blends before buying a large number of them. I have found that the strongest coffee and espresso pods are the best.. The pods are rather pricey, but I think they are well worth it given the quality of output and convenience. There are costlier models of the same machine that include milk frothers and/cups etc.. However, I have found that a small battery power whisk type frother is better and is much easier to clean.

Started giving error codes and broke within a couple weeks. Then started working, then stopping intermittently. Didn't send back to Amazon in time as it seemed ok - but then broke again, now amazon won't take back as its been six weeks. Nespresso say they will service it. Not replace. So now my new machine is going into the shop like a broken new BMW, and I anticipate a lemon car situation where it will never be right.I previously bought the earlier model vertigo but wasn't hot enough. It's at my office and works fine. This new model is hot enough but broken. Curiously when I ordered this, Amazon sent me an obviously open box, which I returned immediately. This one was factory sealed but is a lemon. Really bad experience and I've also wasted a couple dozen expensive coffee pods trying to trouble shoot.Update: ok just got our unit back from "service". Made exactly one cup of coffee before going into error mode. Wasted $5 worth of pods to try and get a second cup made. The loaner basic model they sent worked fine for the week we had it. We got our unit back and it was the same box I sent it in, looked like it hadn't even been opened. We also got an email saying "we received your machine for service", then three minutes later got another email saying "your machine has been serviced and is on its way back to you". Really? So not happy. Piece of junk broken product and crap service. Will attempt to get a refund from Amazon. Advice? Do NOT buy this.Update 2: after posting on Twitter about my experience, nespresso immediately sent out new replacement machine and box of coffee. New machine works much better, quieter and reliably. Changed from one star to five. Thanks!

It's an amazing machine. While the Original is better, the VertuoLine is better for some unique features like the thicker -- not traditional or necessarily superior, but thicker -- crema. As it stands, if you want a more luxurious latte that isn't too strong, then get the Vertuoline with the frother. If you want a more traditional latte that is quite strong -- made with stronger beans -- then you should buy the Original, as it is made to brew at the temperature required for those beans. The only real complaint I have is that the espresso selection for the VertuoLine is limited -- for those very reasons (the fewer beans/blends that benefit more from the centrifuge than the higher pressure).
