We've had this problem in the past with our 2003 Honda Recon ES 250 where the gears wouldn't shift on command, gear light would blink in 1st gear, etc. So Honda has a problem with this issue. However, it is an easy fix at a very affordable price to be able to enjoy our 4wheeler again. We've owned it since late 2002.

Machine would not start. Machine said it was in neural but was not as machine wound not roll. I could not shift through gears to get it into free rolling neutral even with manual shifting wrench. I got the eight flashes of first gear indicating angle sensor issue. In the end there was a piece of wood jammed into the angle sensor guard. When I removed the wood all the sudden I was able to shift through the gears. I never actually changed the part.

The product is great and the time in receiving was as promised and in time for my trip.I found my machine had lots of plastic to remove and a couple of braces to even touch the sensor cover. The only thing I can imagine is the guy on the help video must have been blessed with ambidexterity and two elbows.
