A stabilizer used to support the fabric during stitching to avoid the puckering and stretching is an essential for machine embroidery. Generally, stabilizers are classified as cut away, tear away, wash away. Tear Away Embroidery (Medium Weight 1.8oz)
Tear away stabilizers are used when you wish to remove most of the excess stabilizer from the back of the project after embroidery.
It was recommended to be used on woven fabrics that have no stretch like quilted fabrics, 100 percent cotton, poly cotton fabrics, linen, vinyl, leather...
Cut Away Embroidery (Medium Weight 2.5oz)
Cut away stabilizer must be removed by cutting it away and the rest behind the stitch will remain on the fabric for the life of the design.
Cut away stabilizer is considered the most stable stabilizer.
It is typically recommended for unstable and stretchy fabric such as knits and high-stitch count design.
Wash Away Embroidery Stabilizer (Light Weight 1.5oz)
If your project requires no traces of the stabilizer to be left after embroidery, you must use a wash away stabilizer.

No Show Mesh is also a kind of cutaway embroidery stabilizer which will remain forever fixed to your fabric but it is sheer and semi-transparent which is not for very heavy design.
No show mesh stabilizer is recommended for light colored fabrics.
It is extremely soft for baby garment and some fabric when soft is a very important consideration.
Water Soluble Topping Film (Light Weight 25Mircon))
Water Soluble Toppings are used only on the top of the fabric to control the nap of the fabric. It is best used on napped fabrics such as towels, knits, velvets, or velveteens to prevent the stitch sinking into fabric. They are too lightweight to be used as the backing stabilizer.
Fusible Iron On Embroidery Stabilizer (Light&Medium Weight)
Fusible Iron On stabilizer has a side with shiny coating which can be ironed to the wrong side to the fabric, so it can be fix to the fabric without a hoop.
Using Fusible Iron On stabilizer will prevent stretching of the fabric during the hooping process.

Black embroidery stabilizer is very useful on similarly colored garments or fabrics.

So I got this stabilizer, It's a terraway. I absolutely love this product. Whenever I Finish my embroidery, all I do is tear it away and it looks so clean. Very easy to install, use and clean up. The color is white but you don't think about that when you are tearing it off your project. Works very well. And it's soft.

This is the second time I have purchased this stabilizer. I like is as well as or even better than the more popular brands. It works great and tears away easily. And the cost is better than the name brands as well.

I’ve been machine embroidering for over 20years. Tearaway Stabilizer I use wasn’t available so I took a chance and order this. First opinion- super thin and I had my doubts it would be effective without using two layers. Didn’t feel like “paper†tearaway.First project, just to be safe I doubled the stabilizer. Stitched out well, much better than expected. The stabilizer was strong enough that I actually had to cut it away, design wouldn’t “pop offâ€. Next project, only used one layer. Still stitched well and design did release without needing scissors … made me nervous bc removing the stabilizer did need more pulling than usual.Good news - it’s thin, stitches wellIffy news - removal takes a bit more pulling on the clothing/stablizer and worry it will distort fabricHaven’t laundered yet. Since it seems synthetic rather than paper, not sure if it’ll shrink and pucker/distort the way mesh can

Bought this to use with my Brother SE725 machine. Bit thicker than I expected, but this stabilizer worked as I expected. Fairly easy to tear away.

I use this product with my Viking embroidery machine and Singer embroidery machine. Holds up well when using vinyl or just fabric. Highly recommend this product.
