This works well for my RB24EA. Realize that you have to use some things off of your old carb to make this work, but its not like you have to drill or do anything crazy. If I can modify this, YOU can too! My RB starts up like a champ now and runs very well

The carburetor replacement went OK. I had to do a little fiddling around to make things work. The rubber grommet/seal for feeding the fuel lines into the tank was too large, so I had to switch around the fuel lines and use the old seal.Also, the spark plug provided was a different size than the original one. The electrode stuck out 4 or 5 mm too far, and came into contact with the top of the cylinder when it was installed. The original spark plug was a Champion CJ6, and for some reason the equivalents being listed for this plug are incorrect. A local auto parts place also gave me the same style of incorrect (too long electrode) spark plug.

I highly recommend that you do NOT BUY this carburator. It is a very poor replacement that requires a great deal of modifications in order to work. The throttle linkage hole is way to small and requires drilling out in order to connect the throttle cable. The gas tank filter fuel and return line plug is way to large requiring pulling the old fuel lines out of your existing one and reusing it. The spark plug is about an 1/8" too long and will hit the top of the piston and very likely put a hole in it ruining the engine. This was listed as an exact replacement for my model # of leaf blower. KEEP LOOKING!

Description says compatible with Hitachi & that's what I have.It is the very same carburetor, but it's throttle assembly is very different. See photo.It was pretty easy to disassemble both and swap the needed parts, including the mixture barrel.What's the point of a new carb if you need to reuse half of the old one?In the end, it runs great again.

Carb was exactly like the original except for the throttle linkage. Had to drill out the hole to fit the cable retainer in. Also spark plug wasn’t correct for this engine. It was to long. But carb ran well.

Sorry I bought this item. The carburator didn't have the place ro put the throttle cable. The 2 gaskets were the wrong ones. The fuel return and intake hoses were different then mine.I had to use some new parts to make my old blower work.So in closing I am disappointed.
