This is a common failure point on the GM Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine. Mine lasted about 120K miles. My Cruze is a basic commuter car, it's not modded at all. There are a lot of folks who criticize the original plastic design and suggest using an aluminum part. I keep it original, after all, the original lasted over 100K miles. If this one lasts for 100K I'll be happy. Relatively easy repair, but you have to remove the throttle body hose and coolant hoses. Get a remote coolant hose clamp tool if you have the original hose clamps- it's worth it. And there is an o-ring where the small recovery hose snaps into so make sure you remove it from the old one or get a new o-ring. My water outlet did not come with a new one.

Genuine part, arrived quickly, replacement was easy and fit correctly on a 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.4. Best part is it was $150 less than the stupid local dealership wanted.

The part is a direct replacement from GM. Just seems like GM should have used something other than plastic for a part that handles hot engine coolant

Comes with the valve cover gasket as well. I needed to replace this because my PCV valve went bad. It was super easy to swap out and just what I needed.
